| The sky was a bright blue, vivid and energizing as it reflected in the glossy eyes of Ella. The sun was bright, centered perfectly in the sky as to suggest the hour, but not such a suggestion could be taken when it's beauty came first. One would not have guessed by a mere glance or picture that it had been, in fact, winter, with a chilling breeze and a white scarf bundling up against the plated earth.
At the top of the bell towers, situated on the open roof, Ella's body flattered a small towel. The curves of her body elegantly pulling and thrusting like waves on the shorelines, she relaxed her golden skin, glowing in the sunlight, and her belly facing the warmth of the towel. Many would have found themselves bundled, keeping the little warmth that their body could produce protected beneath thick woolen clothes, hidden and safe from the fisted, frigid air.
But not Ella.
The girl adorned a bathing suit, flattering every curve and hugging the soft skin of her body. In her hands laid a book, a book of runes, and she was oddly studying, nearly nude, upon the rooftop on a cold winter afternoon. Page by page, she flipped, only once engraved into her mind though did she turn another page. Every word, every image, must have been perfect in order for her to will herself any further into her studies. She left no room for imperfection, not in these sorts of things at least.
(I'm sorry, but I had to jump into it with Ella being all...well, sultry, shall I say haha)

| Matthew moved up the stairs to the tower like a cat, a little jump in his step and pauses in between every three or four steps. His eyes were on his hands; his fingers occupied by a shiny black beetle. It clung to his skin and occasionally crawled here and there if he poked its butt. He wasn't really thinking about anything at this time, but insects usually had that effect on him. His childlike excitement then usually left him oblivious to anything else. At the top of the tower, he continued upwards, until at last he'd reached the roof.
The sun touched his face once he stepped outside, caressing the skin that had paled with absence of its rays. Matt still went out more often than your average student, but winter had been long and dark. Clouds were up in the sky more often than not. Today was, perhaps, the first day in a long while that the big star showed its warmth; and as the bells struck the hour, so did it show precisely noon. Matt hopped along to the edge of the roof—and then stopped. For upon lifting his head he saw an exquisite creature; and she lay golden next to the white of snow. His eyes must have rounded, glistening with wonder. His cheeks surely reddened with warmth or embarrassment and in the next moment he was looking away, for surely it was a vision not meant for his eyes.

| From her book descended a shadow which did not belong to the spot it held. Looking up and peering through her sunglasses, Ella's eyes caught sight of the boy, pale and curly haired, his attention upon nothing but himself and his own actions. Her observations continued, unfazed by the intrusion, until the boy took notice to her. She smile, composed as the boy's cheeks began to become that of the shade of tulips which belonged in spring and summer, but no where within this harsh winter.
No mind had been paid to his reaction, as she viewed no such behavior of her own to be embarrassing, and so she thought upon others that it, too, should not be treated as such. Ella lifted her torso, exposed to the cold winds, and elegantly twisted her body so as to prop herself up upon her golden legs, her hips leaning heavily to the side as they stretched for the ground. Her torso's weight pushed against her soft palms that rested on her towel, just as her other hand stretched up, moving her sunglasses smoothly from her eyes and into her hair, her fingers drifting like soft waves through her hair, so as to push it from her face.
"Am I disrupting a ritual of yours?"
She asked with a small but generous smile, a small tilt of the head. Her eyes were thin but charming across her raised cheekbones, burning in the crispy sunlight that passed through. She wore an honest face as she posed her questions, inquiring on whether or not she was of a disturbance to the boy, who may have his habits that she did not wish to inflict disarray upon.

| He stole a glance in her direction, his left hand reaching up to rub at the back of his neck. The beetle clung onto the fingers of his right hand, which now hung at his side. Shuffling his feet, Matt looked up, down, then back at the girl and he said, “No, erm, not really.” His eyes lingered on her smile, and then rounded once more at the exposed skin. Matt didn’t know what should be considered the perfect figure, but her body seemed to be formed exactly that. When she tilted her head he watched her beautiful long neck, a moment before his eyes danced across the top of the roof again, to the snow, and back to her face. “Aren’t you cold?” Matt wasn’t, not usually, now he was only in his robes, but she had not even that. He supposed she might have cast some spell to keep warm.
“Should I,” he began, left hand falling from his neck and right arm lifting up to gesture at the way he had come up the stairs and out to the roof. “I didn’t know there was someone out here. Not—” Not like this, he wanted to say. He swallowed, cleared his throat and stuffed his hands inside his robes’ pockets, beetle and all. “I should go,” he said, but made no physical attempt to do so. In his head he’d gone away somewhere, or was about to go; in any case though his eyes remained set on her features, he seemed to be looking through her and far away into the distance.

| Ella watched as the boy began to act what she considered to be fairly nervously. He seemed to feel awkward due to her presence, and perhaps her attire, though she didn't leave herself on that thought as much as she should have. He did look at her body, but not for long as his eyes danced on their surroundings, from the soft snow on the rooftops to the barren roofs themselves, before falling onto her face again. When he asked if she was cold, her smile returned as she answered him, "Cold can be an illusion of sorts, you just have to learn how to overcome it."
For some that was mentality, for others it was magic. Some took the time to fool themselves or train themselves, others took to the ease of magic. She didn't find that bad, at all, for she did love her studies, but she valued intellect over everything else, and if one was without magic, well, some problems could be had if that is what they relied on.
As the strange boy stumbled over his words, Ella resisted her laugh, keeping it to flutter on her insides.
"Go, if you’d like, but feel no need to."

| He blinked a couple of times when again she spoke, as if he expected her to agree and shoo him away, but received no such response. His eyes seemed to focus again; he didn’t know how to ask her to cover herself without sounding rude and to stay and talk to her and not keep her eyes on her. “You’re right, I think,” he said, because her words intrigued him; it was not something often heard. People complained about the cold a lot, without really trying to do anything about it. Not her. Matt had no such trouble; he gladly felt all season on his skin, whether his illusion was that they felt exactly as they should or he had learned to accept them. He never really thought about it until now.
He remained in his spot, hands in pockets and a shy smile tugging at his lips. He didn’t want to leave; despite the girl it was nice out here and the bells were near and this was by far his favourite roof. “Shall I stay then? I should like to,” he spoke with a tiny nod of his head. “I’m Matthew. I don’t know your name.”

| (Sorry! I was studying for a midterm, now I'm back <3)
"Hello, Matthew, it's nice to meet you."
Ella was polite as she spoke, casually stretching her hands over her head as she did so. She had slightly toned arms, as she recently decided to work out. Health had started to become relevant to her, as she had no room for a beer belly from the parties that she went to. Not that she minded, as she was already fully figured, but she simply wasn't about to put up with the trend of magic and it's abuse on appearance. Morphing and pretending to be someone with only the effort of words leaving your lips, a wand in hand, didn't mean anything. Not to Ella, at least.
It took a moment before Ella started blinking, finally realizing that Matthew was probably uncomfortable with her...attire. She reached behind her and threw on an oversized shirt before turning back to Matthew. Ella had the tendency not to answer to anyone with her name, a bad habit of hers to some, but one that she saw no reason to mind. She felt it bettered to reveal who others were to her before she influenced them into asking about her.

| He gave a strange little smile when she said it was nice to meet him, as if it was something he'd have difficulty believing. In turn he nodded, "Pleased to meet you," his eyes once more dancing away as she stretched; at last she covered herself, but the blush had yet to leave Matt's cheeks. His fingers poked at the beetle inside his pocket and he said "Fifth year. What about you?" before catching himself and tilting his head at the persistent lack of name to put to face. "What's your name?"
