Welcome Distractions {Jai, Open}

A strong burst of chilled air accompanied Eleonora into the building as she walked through the open door and into the entrance corridor of the castle. Hurriedly she closed the door behind her, trying to keep as much of the cold out as she could. It seemed like the winter was never ending this year, its cruel wind and flurries a persistent companion to the low temperature.

It felt good to get inside and her cheeks and nose began to tingle, the red of the blood returning to warm them, staining her skin. Already the cozy fires along the wall were heating her and she pulled off her jacket as she walked. Despite the weather Eleonora had taken to walking the paths and hidden parts of the Forbidden Forests more often, unwilling to let such an incident that occurred previously happen again without her knowledge. She was just returned from one such excursion now, satisfied that all was well. Unbeknownst to her there were a few small dark feathers trapped in her hair from the nudging of Polaris as he had walked beside her back in the forest, acting as the ever vigilant guard dog.

Now she walked more slowly, the cold no longer urging her pace. Her mind was elsewhere as she traced the steps back to her office and she barely took in the surroundings and going ons of the castle around her.

Returning from one of his many trips to London, Jai wandered through the halls trying to get back to his office. He wondered how they let him stay at the school, as he rarely held classes and nothing ever seemed to get accomplished when he did. But what did he expect? He taught music at one of the biggest schools of magic in the continent. Though, as a former Headmaster was quoted as saying, 'If one student wishes to return...' Anyway, he was getting sidetracked. Just as he noticed he was lost in thought, he realized he was walking into the completely wrong office. "Oh, sorry, I thought this was my office, though there's no way it could be, since my office is obviously not here." He then realized the room was empty except for himself, and turned to leave the room.

Eleonora had found her way back to her office as her mind wandered and was about to let herself in when she spotted someone leaving it. She quickly walked the little distance to the door and the person who had just walked out. It was not a student as she would have thought, but another adult, one she assumed must be a professor that she had yet to meet. Why he would be in her office or looking for her she could not say. It was not often she had visitors, whether they be student or professor.

“I'm sorry, were you looking for me?” She asked gently as she approached him, her voice soft in the nearly empty corridor. Eleonora did not often speak loudly in the vast hallways and towers of the castle, disliking the way her voice would echo off the walls and ring back at her if she spoke too harshly.
