Among the books (Tag: Lucien)

Lore gazed at him suspiciously, placing the Rubik's cube in one hand. She hesitated for a moment taking his other hand.

Lore was already suspicious, and when Lucien mentioned Occlumency she froze. Exhaling a breath she replied, "Depends...", gazing back at him.

But, Lore wasn't one to turn her back on a challenge no, she was too stubborn for that. Although she had her suspicions she agreed, "Alright..." she said not too sure whether or not she was doing the right thing.

Lore felt rather unnerved, given the fact she was about to let someone into her head. She exhaled a breath trying to relax, letting Lucian take the lead.

Lore did as she was told and slowly closed her eyes.

The serene landscape only took mere seconds for the world to form. The sun was warm against her skin as a gentle breeze lazily blew the grass around her. She blinked a few times looking down at her clothing. A scowl instantly crossed her Germanic features when she saw she was wearing a farmer get up with matching straw hat.

Her green eyes then found Lucien who was obviously dressed better than her. She walked towards him, assuming the entire get up was part of the challenge he had for her.

"Ok, vhats the challenge?" She asked

Lore's eyes fell on the items Lucien had laid out for her, "Am I going to start some sort of farm?" she said gesturing towards her outfit. Clearly she wasn't amused with the "costume".

When Lucien apologized that the scenery wasn't anything like the German countryside Lore couldn't help but make a smug smile, "You should have. It would have been nicer und how do you say...impressive?" she said jokingly.

Lore glanced at the river, as Lucien explained her task. The smug smile that she had earlier instantly disappeared by the time he had finished, "Seems easy..." she muttered. Her voice quivering slightly.

The task seemed simple enough, but physically bringing the items from point A to point B would be rather difficult. Whatever it was, Lore decided to shrug off her uneasy feeling of the water and picked up the chicken, plopping the feathery bird into the boat. Pushing the small boat off the bank of the river she jumped in and began to row it to the other side. The chicken however decided to be a uncooperative passenger and began flailing around in the boat.

"Ich hasse Hühner...." she muttered under her breath as she tried to keep her mind off the rushing water below the boat.

Leaving the chicken on the other side, she went to get the wolf. As she began rowing back towards the chicken the current of the river seemed to get a bit stronger, "The hell...." she mumbled wondering why it was getting a little tougher to row to the other side.

Lore reached the other side, grabbing the chicken and began pushing towards the other side. The current seemed to get stronger, she gritted her teeth irritably, practically tossing the chicken to the ground as she grabbed the sack of grain.

She turned her gaze over to Lucien who apparently looked like he was still over seeing the challenge. Something seemed off....very off abut him. She wasn't all too sure what it was but something told her to be on her guard. She rowed to the other side tossing the grain on to the ground by the wolf. She rowed back stepping off the boat to grab the chicken as she did the whole scenery seemed to shift.

"Odd..."she muttered as she picked up the chicken.

By the time she looked up the whole countryside scene changed to the last summer her family spent at Rhineland.

"Rheinland?" she asked out loud, "I thought you said you've never been to Germany." she said assuming Lucien was still there.

"That...can't be true..."she muttered absently as she dropped the chicken, "Because that's where I fell into the river." her voice trailing off at the end. She turned her attention back to Lucien, "I do not know what you are planning...be it this is part of the challenge or not; it's not funny anymore.", a flare of annoyance was prominent in her tone.

As she spoke the sky began to darken and the summer scenery began to dwindle away as the wind began to pick up.

Lore stiffened as Lucien seized her shoulders, her eyes couldn't quite meet his at the current moment, "I..." she panicked as the water from the river began to rise.

Her shoulders shook, goosebumps shot up her arm, feeling the imminent sense of death hanging over her head. Something must have triggered this memory, she didn't know how, she was just too terrified to try and figure it out.

Lucien's words did little to calm her; just as she was about to reply, the water had already risen up to her thighs.

Lore panicked slightly as the water proceeded to rise; before she knew it Lucien had casted a spell to levitate them out of the water. By the time Lucien had froze the water over and place them safely on the ground, Lore still felt too petrified to speak. Every core in her body felt as stiff as the ice beneath her feet. The corner of her mouth twitched ever so slightly as she tried to form some sort of response.

Words seemed to fail her at this point. She bit her bottom lip feeling that she was on the verge of tears. For one she felt stupid allowing someone into her head...she felt in a way a loss of her own pride, second she couldn't believe that one single memory in her past could feel so terrifyingly real as if she was physically going to drown, and lastly she didn't want to stoop to the point of crying in front of Lucien. She already felt a loss of her own pride what more if she were to start crying.

Lore turned her attention back to Lucien. Her eyebrows knitted together before taking his hand.
