A fine day for Quidditch [Open]

Medea grinned once more. Probably she was slightly masochistic...with a childhood of Adrian cursing at her and telling her to piss off...the truth probably wasn't too far.
She carried on twirling the bat, completely oblivious to the change in atmosphere now that a goal was scored...speaking of a change in atmosphere, she started to feel goosebumps creep up her arms. She could've sworn the weather forecast was all sunny today. She muttered a small hot air charm around herself.

"Is it me or has it gone colder?" Jonathan asked, rubbing his arms.

Shane looked to Aeryn. Finally noticing where she was frowning at, he caught the faint white shimmer emanating from the blonde's wand. "She's doing a Glacius" he muttered. As much as he wanted to warm up, he couldn't-no, he wouldn't use magic in a game of Quidditch. "You're wrapped up warm, aren't you?" He smiled towards Jonathan, though it couldn't hide his slight irritation.

Another Bludger made it's way towards Eli. It too, was in a hard coating of ice thanks to the blonde Deatheater.

Medea watched as the pitch turned into a Winter wonderland. Her charm was starting to flicker. She could feel the tiny invasions of cold and she shivered. Shorts weren't really for snowy weather...

Shane started moving towards Eli. He would try to intercept him before her reached Jonathan. Jonathan had never had contacts in the northern countries like Shane did...he was more of an Irish fan. Whilst flying, Shane strapped on his Quidditch gloves. Though it was cold leather, it was better than nothing.

Shane smiled. "This is too easy" he mumbled to himself. He had seen this trick many times...the fact that the boy thought that he could be fooled by such a common trick...was absurd. He swooped to take the Quaffle. However his attempt failed as he didn't see the Bludger aimed for him.

The Bludger smacked hard into his side, throwing him off his broom.

"Sha-Shane!" Aeryn quickly ran to the spot where he fell, "Shane?" She shook the man's shoulders yet he didn't get up, only smirked at her through heavy lidded eyes.

"I know, I know, i have to be aware of my surroundings next time." His laughed turned into a cough.

Jonathan flew down towards his fallen comrade, leaving the goals wide open.

"Well...i guess i didn't mention about them to play it clean" Medea smiled grimly to herself. "Shi-"

She just narrowly dodged the incoming Bludger. She turned her broom round to give her a clear shot for when it would return.

"Aha" Medea laughed too, "I seemed to have forgotten to do-"

Aeryn glared up at Medea.

"-that..." Medea cleared her throat and returned her attention to the Bludger that was now returning for seconds. She swung her Beaters bat towards the direction of the opposing team, not even sure whether the game was still in play now that Shane was down.

Aeryn glared at the blonde boy as he shot some fake worry towards Shane. She took Shane's broom from the ground.

"Jonathan."

Jonathan immediately came to her and dismounted, already knowing what she was going to ask. He took Shane's broom from her hand and replaced it with his Moontrimmer.

Aeryn gave showed no gratitude, her eyes glaring at each member of the opposing team. With her broom, she would be able to go the highest, reaching the Snitch with ease. However Seeker wasn't the [/i]only[/i] position she was going to play...hence why Aeryn would probably be the best out of the three and maybe the Department.

"Jonathan, pull Shane to the side then keep the hoops guarded at all times." Her voice was stern. She gave one last glance to Shane before mounting her broom. Upon reaching Eli's height, she held out one hand for his o give the Quaffle. It was her team's turn to start, after having just lost a goal

"B-But Blaire, you'll scare away my new friends..." Medea feigned a pout as she watched her recently-hit Bludger fly towards Eli. She knew that there wasn't really much of a chance befriending these people. Despite working in the same building, their Departments were worlds apart...many people were suspicious of the Mysteries...and sometimes suspicions may lead to fear.


Aeryn caught the Quaffle with one hand, not even a mutter of thanks escaped her lips. As soon as the leather touched her palm, she sped up, accelerating towards the sky. She would go so high that only the Moontrimmer was most capable in going. She was going to win this game...get it over and done with and not have to see any of these people again...

"Yeah all i need is my chloroform and brain-washing up liquid, then it's allll fine and dandy," she grinned to Blaire's retreating back before returning to her duties. She started chasing after Eli, aiming for the same Bludger.

Noticing their moving in formation. Aeryn took the chance, dropping down at high speeds towards the opposite goal, Quaffle ready in her hand.

"You really sure you want to take your chances? You're broom's bonfire food!" Medea laughed as she sped up on her Nimbus. She was tempted to use her bat to knock him out, however Medea wasn't keen on seeing blood.

Aeryn sped up towards the goals, towards the one on the furthest left, weaving in and out...she wasn't going to trust the blondie to play a clean game...

Despite the air rushing past them, she saw Louie pull out his wand and mumble a spell.
"Aeryn!"

Aeryn immediately reacted by a loop-the-loop, despite not knowing what spell was being aimed towards her. She was lucky enough to have a fast reaction.

Medea's neck was aching too much from leaning forward, racing Louie towards the Bludger.
"I give up," she sighed. However the girl didn't stop, instead, she threw her bat to the Bludger-aided with a Depulso.
The Bludger flew in the opposite direction from the goals. "Better luck next time Big one," she smiled sweetly to Louie before going to retrieve her fallen bat.

Aeryn finally came to the far left goal, Quaffle held strongly in her hand.

Swooping down towards the ground, Medea's fingers barely grasped the polished bat. She turned towards Aeryn, relieved that she was still with the Quaffle. Medea was still grinning, knowing that she may have thoroughly pissed off Blaire's brother seeing as she caused him two losses.

Aeryn, finally reaching the black haired boy inches away from collision, swerved to his left. She wasn't going to aim for the left hoops, instead she used her sudden movement and the slight obstruction in order to get as close to the right hoop before he could interrupt, hoping to gain an element of surprise.

Having the slight advantage of surprise, the girl managed to land the Quaffle in, split seconds before the keeper reached. She wasted no time for revelling in the small victory, instead, she swerved back to the centre--avoiding any possible plays from the keeper. She didn't trust them.

A small shadow passed over the players. So small that it could have been mistaken for a trick of the sunlight, however its golden shimmer proved it not so.
