A fine day for Quidditch [Open]

"If you say so...Shane nodded, a smirk upon his face as he kicked off. The Nimbus was slightly slower than the brooms that he usually played with. It brought memories, riding on a broom that he had in his childhood.

Johnathan stretched in his position before the hoops whilst waiting for everyone to sort themselves out. "Johnathan, Johnathan, he's our man. If he can't do it, no one can." He mumbled the Muggle chant under his breath, eyeing the Quaffle that was ready to be thrown.

Medea stole a glance to their Keeper. It was surprising how he now suddenly seemed serious compared to when he was pissing off Blaire. Quidditch-serious indeed, she giggled to herself.

"Sure go ahead, this is free-Quidditch afterall" or else she would've brought the Bludgers to a curse breaker or something Medea grinned.

Aeryn strolled to the centre, holding the case.

Medea chuckled, "Slytherin Number Two at your service." She gave a cheesy grin as she saluted with her free hand. The other was resting her Beater's bat on her shoulder. Her legs were tightly clenched around the broom, holding her upright. "Let's get this party star-ted." She laughed.

Aeryn cast an Ascendio onto the Quaffle, throwing it up, what seemed to be a mile high [at least in Medea's eyes].

Shane immediately raced upwards, intending to out-fly the opponent.

Whilst this happened, two extremely violent Bludgers were released. One flew towards each side, towards the closest person...each being Medea and Louie.

Aeryn looked down to the Golden ball in her gloved palm, she hadn't released the Snitch yet, deciding to wait for a few minutes when the game had heated up.

Despite his early start and confidence in his Quidditch, Shane felt himself stray behind. It was impossible, his old Nimbus couldn't win against a Firebolt. If he had his...he shook his head, it was a way to 'spice up the game'.

Medea swung to hit the Bludger. Pain shot up her arm upon the impact of the ball of iron against her bat. She yelped as she batted it away into a copse of trees. Her arm was sore though she had had only one chance of hitting it. A grin appeared upon her face, it was sure good playing Quidditch again! She rubbed her aching arm and continued to circle the pitch, eyes peeled for any incoming Bludgers.

Aeryn took Blaire's distraction with the Bludger as a chance to release the snitch. Despite it only being mere seconds upon releasing it, she had already lost sight with it. Looking up brought the sunlight in her eyes.

Shane silently cursed to himself when he saw the Quaffle land in the boys hands. He retreated to a defensive position near the hoops.

"Here so soon?" Jonathan jeered, eyes still fixated upon the Quaffle.

"You can't win against a firebolt," grumbled Shane reluctantly.

There was a sign of movement to the right corner of her eye. She ducked, avoiding a broken neck. She looked ahead, the Bludger was already returning at full speed.

Medea's eyes scanned her surroundings with the few seconds she had till impact. She spotted her blonde friend.

Her bat made contact with the Bludger. A loud noise sounded as she hit the lump of iron. Her arm still throbbed yet it wasn't as painful as before.

"Dorchinade! Where are y-" If it wasn't for his quick reflexes, he would have been grounded with a Bludger to his chest. A Beater was required to protect their team from incoming Bludgers, he could only spot their Beater on the other side of the pitch. Knowing that she wasn't part of the Quidditch Department failed to soothe his irritation-an unpleasant result of his competitiveness.

Medea was too far to help. Her eyes searched the surroundings. Now, she was the one looking for the Bludger, she had no patience for waiting for it to find her.

She caught sight of a Bludger about fifty metres away from the back of Louie. She kicked her broom and sped towards it. She finally reached it. She swung the bat, hitting it in the direction of Eli with the Quaffle, on the path where it would fly in the nook of Louie's shoulder.

Johnathan held his ground, they were many times when he would be more nervous...facing Aeryn's anger was one of them.

A tiny fast-moving shadow passed above Blaire

The Bludger halted and fell to the ground where it started to roll round in circles.

Medea, despite failing to hit anyone with the Bludger, grinned upon seeing Blaire use a spell. It only added more spice to the game.

"Ascendio" she gripped her broom tightly, hoping to cover some distance by being flung up in the air. However, she seemed to forget her meager magic skills, resulting in her casting some form of a Hurling Hex.

She swore as her broom started violently jerking, as if it was one of those raging bulls in Spain who were killed by those mat-She felt herself being flung off. She wouldn't be using magic again...

Shane flew towards the goal posts. One would expect him to immediately block Eli but instead he flew twenty metres away from Jonathan who was still stationary in front of he posts.

The second Bludger was heading towards Louie from above

"Shit." Jonathan's eyes widened as he saw the boy swerved up, leaving him in clear sight of the Bludger. He immediately let his legs hang from the broom so only his hands held him up.

The Bludger narrowly missed the top of the broom and flew through the central hoop.

Shane took it as his chance, he flew to the space of air below the Jonathan. Using Shane's broomstick as a foothold, within seconds he was back onto the broom. He was slightly dazed from the rush of blood but ready back to normal nonetheless.

Shane looked with slight disbelief to the two brothers. It wasn't cheating exactly-he had seen many plays like that in the matches against Transylvania but never really in a casual game.
He looked over to his colleague who had just recovered, a bone-chilling grin on his face despite just narrowly missing an incoming concussion. It seemed Jonathan finally got into his serious Quidditch mood...
Shane straightened himself, he himself should start getting his game sorted.

Her broom had finally tamed. Medea bit her lip as she swung her leg over and rejoined the game. She flew towards the crowd of flying brooms, ignoring Blaire flying off in the direction that probably led to the Snitch.

Aeryn's eyes remained attached to the Snitch, even from her position on the ground. Her fingers twitched, itching to get on the broom and end the match already despite it just starting. She didn't trust them to keep it a clean game as much as she didn't trust their black apparition smoke.

Using the hoop behind him, Jonathan pushed against it with his foot, giving him a larger burst of speed. He managed to obstruct the Quaffle from entering the central hoop.
In one swift movement of his arm, he threw the Quaffle to Shane who was hovering around twenty metres away. It was even easier when the Boy...Eli gave him more space.

Shane took no time to hesitate and raced off towards the other side of the pitch.

Medea finally reached, only to be passed by Shane. She sighed, well that was her attempt at getting closer to the Quaffle gone.

A Bludger flew above Louie's head.

Medea took quick notice and glance towards the enemy Beater, she started to fly up, hoping that she could get to it before he did.

Medea eyed his broom, the name slipped her mind. She had randomly picked brooms out of the broom storage in the Ministry. Saying things were part of an 'Unspeakable's job' could get you anywhere without any questions especially with the weird experiments happening in the ministry now...
She probably had the slight upper-hand but he was closer. She glanced to her bat, considering whether her aim was good at this distance. She dismissed the idea, her arm still ached from when she hard first the Bludger head on.

Shane quickly glanced over his shoulder, the black haired boy had stopped following him. It was now the blonde girl on her old Cleansweep. Smiling in confidence, he sped towards the posts.

Medea laughed along with Louie. The faint squeaking of a certain bewitched object caught her ears. Normally her hearing wasn't always the best but there was no other noise to drown it out. She flew behind Louie, holding to the back of his broom.
"You're Blaire's brother so you'll save me right?" She grinned, her eyes sparkling. It almost seemed as if she would use him as a human shield. He did hit that Bludger before she could and Medea adored holding grudges.

Shane was nearing the posts. Once more, he glanced over his shoulder. There was an incoming Bludger but he would probably be able to score in time before it got to him. Then with several loops around the posts he would be able to lose its interest. He held onto the Quaffle tightly, adjust his grip on it, ready to throw it on.

"Nope" She grinned with mischief, tightening her grip. She could hear the growing noise of the Bludger.
They weren't the only Slytherins playing this game...though this was some lame way of cheating.

Shane threw it in with ease. He started to fly away before it had entered the hoop. He had complete confidence his aim.

"Better luck next time" he called to the blonde, a triumphant smirk on his face.

Medea watched the Bludger intently. "Okays, your loss bro" She grinned sweetly and let go last minute before speeding upwards. From her height, she watched everyone, Shane had just scored, Jonathan was still stuck in net-wait what did they call it in Quidditch? Hoops?
She started to twirl her bat like a baton absent-mindedly. Even during a game, she somehow managed to have enough time to drift into a daydream.

Aeryn made eye contact with the blonde. She hadn't seen enough of this girl to judge her as a Seeker, so far her speed seemed poor in the chase after Shane. She had expected the girl to have set fire to him, after witnessing the charm on the Bludger, she wouldn't be too surprised if she did.
This wasn't a formal game after all so none of Aeryn's memorized rules came into play. It wasn't good that the Dorchinade girl did a what-would-be foul by holding onto brooms. She shook her head, what was she expecting from non-professionals?

Shane was already nearly back by Jonathan's side. It was their turn to play defensive.

"I would rate that a three...no flair."

Shane smirked in reply to his colleague. There wasn't really much chance to show off.

Louie glared at her as she let go of his broom and zoomed off. He sort of started to ground his teeth together but he gripped is bat much tighter than before. He sighed and shook her head.

Eli took his sweet time flying towards the hoops. He was trying to get up a tactic plan in order to get the ball through the hoops. He sighed inwardly before slowing down and staring at the other two at the end of the field.

Blaire caught the eye of the girl on the ground and glared at her slightly before looking at her brothers. Eli was flying slowly and Louie was stopped int he air. She sighed and slowed to a stop before looking around the pitch again.

Louie looked above him and saw the bludger flying around and he started to head towards it hoping that it would come to him so he could knock someone off their broom with it.

"Hold onto something bros it's about to get freezing." Blaire murmured under her breath as she pulled out her wand slightly.
"Glacius." Blaire whispered moving her wand smiling as a the air started to get very cold as if it was almost the middle of winter again.
