Sunny Reunion [Tag:Alena~]

Alena liked to see the best in everyone, and she liked to think that everyone was nice. She knew some people weren’t always nice, and that reality wasn’t always the happy world she wanted it to be, but she wouldn’t let her judgment cloud her before she met someone. Sometimes it was just a misunderstanding!

“I haven’t had potions yet, so I don’t know Professor Brown, and I haven’t really heard of him either! But I’m sure he’s nice, I’m sure he has his reasons, just as everyone does!”

She had her share though of mean kids, and she knew they existed. Maybe she just wished that they didn’t, not that she’d wished them dead, just kinder!

Lucien continued to walk next to her, and she couldn’t help but smile brightly. She felt that she had made a new friend, and a good one, too! He was nice, and she was happy. She felt happy.

“There isn’t a pattern! I tried, it just goes crazy, and once I think I have it, it changes on me!”

Enthusiastically, Alena spoke with her arms flying passionately, even if she were simply talking about a silly staircase.

Before taking his hand, Alena made sure that it hadn't been the injured one, and was glad to see that it wasn't. She smiled largely at the boy, her eyes partially closed as she did so, and took his hand.

The portraits around the staircase always drew her attention, and often her laughter. They were always so vibrant and energetic, she couldn't help but laugh at some of the portraits' need to attract attention from their audiences.

"Look at that one!"

One particular portrait wouldn't stop calling for their attention, as he used magic to do muggle-like juggling tricks. A laugh escaped Alena's lips as she had pointed toward the portrait for Lucien to see as well.

"They're all so nice, if wouldn't mind spending time with any of them!"

"That's near the transfiguration courtyard, right? I ran through there once, but I didn't really get to have a good look."

She shook her head at the memory, her eyes clearly in her mind. She remembered the quick encounter, her tardiness to class and her confusion as to where she was compared to where she should have been going.

Luckily for her she had run into a really nice prefect! Even though they weren't nice right away, she quite literally ran into them after all! But he later smiled and pointed her in the right direction.

Alena watched as the stairs had stopped, and she wasn't sure what to do now. This is why it took her hours to get to class so often.

Alena looked at him, scrunching her eyes into what was an attempt to glare, even though she meant for it to be playful. The attempt was quite the utter failure, however, because she could portray very much sour personality in her eyes. She couldn't even fake it.

"If I was that bad I would have died a while ago, starving in a corner!"

She nodded her head, as if to confirm her statement as fact.

"Yep, I would most definitely have been a ghost, haunting this place for years to come."

She didn't think that she could make a good ghost. Not a scary one at least, but she was actually surprised by the ghosts when she got here. They were all nice, and seemed so much alive, she wondered where her family, and all of the other 'muggles' got the scary idea from.

Alena had intended a joke, and she hadn't realized that it didn't come across as one. She simply thought to try one of those witty, sarcastic was it?, jokes, though she clearly wasn't good at them.

Failing to notice Lucien's pause, in that he saw it not as a joke, Alena continued on smiling, though jerking with the stair.

"What if I popped out of a wall and screamed 'Boo!'...I bet that'd be scary for at least a little bit!"

She smiled as she saw it in her head, and was surprised that other ghosts hadn't done so before. At least not to her, and not that she had heard of, of course! Scary didn't have to be mean, it could still be playful, she thought.

The stairwell had stopped before Alena could say anything back to Lucien. It was almost as though she had forgotten what they'd been talking about entirely.

Alena smiled and waved to the paintings, taking Lucien's courteous gesture with a grain of salt.

"Goodbye, all!"

She laughed as she did this, many paintings had been waving back energetically.

"Where from here? Left, Right?"

Directions were not her strong suit, or not in this school at least. This place was quite the maze!

Alena peeked down both hallways, unsure of how he knew to go left. They were both identicle, besides a few of the portraits, but their frames were the same color, and they were all so similar!

"This place is a maze, I swear that was the intention in building and rebuilding this place!"

Alena didn't have many classes, but once she was accepted into Hogwarts she was so excited that she read up on it.

The first thing she had read was the first and second wizarding wars, and the rebuilding of the destroyed school. It was sad what happened, but she was glad that everything turned out okay!

They had finally reached the Hospital Wing, and Alena was instantly shocked. She had thought that it would be cold and stuffy, and very white like at the hospitals she had always visited. Here, there were windows everywhere, so tall that they reached the ceiling!

And the room wasn't quite so white as she had imagined, there were stone walls, and the only thing that was white were the bed sheets. Through Alena's excitement, she almost hadn't noticed Lucien, and how something seemed a tad off. She wasn't sure what exactly, but he seemed to be reacting a bit differently then someone who was familiar with the place would be.

"Is something wrong? Are you feeling okay?"

Alena was suddenly concerned that he had lost too much blood. She hoped that he wasn't feeling too ill!
