| "Vell, she really paid you a lot, huh?" Nadya didn't add onto that. She wondered if he was being truthful or not, since she highly doubted Lestrange would put that much effort into 'protecting' her. She started swinging her legs back and forth, ignoring the defiant aches that greeted her, as she continued glancing around. | |

| He shrugged from his position at the bottum of the tree, looking out into the rest of the forest. It was starting to grow dark, not that he minded. There was a peace in the night. He could see others, and no one could see him. It was a comfort, and a luxury, all at once.
Adeon didn't have anything else to say. He preferred the silence. Of course he would prefer if he wasn't stuck in this predicament, but he didn't have a choice. Well, he did, but he never disappointed, not while on the job.

| As the silence grew, so did Nadya's pain. Several times, she readjusted herself, the rustling of the branch being the only sign of this. She then started searching for stray bits of glass that had been clinging to her from earlier. She'd unceremoniously rip them from her cuts, making them even worse than they already were, and then tear a bit from her sleeves and skirt tail for makeshift bandages. Then, as her fingers traveled down to her hip a short gasp slipped before she could bite down the sharp pain as her fingers became wet with blood and yet cold against the jagged surface of another shard of glass. After biting down hard on her lip, she slid it out and let carelessly let it slip from her hands and fall down below her. She leaned back, looking out into the dark of night as she applied pressure to the wound. | |

| A soft slice in the wind was just above Adeon's head. He quickly reached out and caught the shard of glass. The texture was smooth, and the glass was thick. The thick edges has small particales brushed together.
"Window..."
He looked up the tree to where Nadya sat, his view of her obsured but the branch she was sitting on. He looked back down at the glass and ran his finger over the edges. Blood. She cut herself, and a decent much juding by how far the blood starts.
"Jump." He spoke blatantly, speaking to Nadya.

| "Why? So you can take me back to Lestrange? Fat ch-" another wave of pain kept her from finishing her sentence. She leaned her head back against the bark, then glanced down, her eyes becoming more feline so she could see him better in the darkness below her. "I could climb down." But her aching body protested the moment she moved to do so. | |

| "You never have to see Lestrange. Its not part of our deal."
Adeon waited at the fortune of the tree for another moment before speaking.
"Jump, I'll catch you."

| Nadya hesitated for a long moment, then spoke, "Drop me and you vill regret it." Then she hesitated a few more moments, sizing him up from her height before slowly adjusting herself on the branch. Then, she dropped. | |

| Adeon rolled his eyes as he waited for the moment that Nadya would jump. When she did, he followed he patterns in the air. He timed he well as he put his arms out, catching her. As he did so he bent his knees, getting closer to the ground so that there wasn't much of an impact when she hit his arms, instead she was just slown down.
"Okay let's go. We can get that fixed elsewhere."
He would never go anywhere public, but Adeon didn't exactly have a house of his own. He would never put his name down on property, and he liked to be on the move. No home would situate his needs. Instead he build himself a little shack and training center in the middle of a forest, it was everything he needed.

| Nadya cringed as she was caught, but her wound did not bring as much pain as she thought. Already she had set a glare upon him, as she asked, "Vhere is elsewhere?" She rolled her eyes and pushed away from him to try and get back to her feet. | |

| "A shack. Not public, so don't even get on my ass about that."
He adjusted her so that she couldn't get out of his grip. He would have rathered her walk, sure as hell, but she would have lost blood that he couldn't repair. She would just have to hang on for the ride.
"And no. You're not walking. I'm not tending to you when you have no life left."

| Her gaze hardened, and seeing as how she couldn't win, she rolled her eyes and elbowed him in the chest so she could keep at least a little of her own space. She muttered a bit of russian, which ran along the lines of an insult.

| Luke knew these woods inside and out. He probably knew them better than Eirina, knowing that she lived a few miles east of here. But with no lighting, and watching the trees fly by beneath him he had a hard time looking for Nadya. The forest was massive, easily big enough to get lost, easy enough to escape notice for weeks. Luke spent the rest of the night looking for her, after he douse the flames of his now chard couch, but no such luck. Even the tracing spells his mother wrote down in her diary did not help him find her.
Damn it, he thought, I knew I should have put up my defenses when I took Nadya in.
He slowed down, and landed lightly on a large branch. His claws dug into the trunk with anger, as he transformed back into a human form. With a fist, he slammed his hand against the tree trunk, but the trunk was unwaver in its sturdiness. "Damn it," he yelled. He had been out their for hours. He knew he should have gone after her, when Adeon went through the window, but leaving the flames unchecked, he would have nothing left to go back to.
"NAdya!" he yelled. His voice echoing in the dark, but no response. He yelled louder, and louder her name, not caring if it was taboo. Not caring if the Headmistress came hunting him down. He just wanted her to be safe.
-Night gives way to morning light-
His voice horse, his body quivering under his feet, swaying back and forth. He could not take one more step. Sharp pain stabbed at his lungs, like a kuni being twisted back and forth, making it impossible to breath, but he kept going. Just another step...One more step, he thought to himself, pushing his body to the limit. He took that step, but his leg got caught in a root. The last thing he remember before falling unconsciousness was him falling...falling...never stop falling....
(So I did not interfere but I did not go against my characters nature.)

| Alexander need a break from Hogwarts for a time. He did not know how many pressures the Professors were under, until he become one. Not only was their a stack load of paper work to go through each day, papers to grade, and reports to file, their were the students who frankly he thought were out to get him, and the other students from different houses. Well, he knew that he would have to deal with those few things, but not the political aspect of teaching at the top school in Europe, or the secrecy of the job.
Or the other perks, he thought sarcastically, stepping out onto his porch to a cool refreshing morning. The sun was breaking the horizon blinding him, as it intertwine with the aqua blue water. The only thing Luke could do was cover his eyes, as he adventured forth into the wilderness.
Today he left behind all his worries and troubles, and focused on something he enjoyed. But what, he did not know, but he had a feeling that an Adventure would drop from the sky, landing in his lap. It always did.
A year had pass since he travel through these familiar the trees. Little had changed since than and now. He notice little things, like a family of nifflers burrowed into the gnarl roots of an oak tree, or some potion ingredients growing once again in patches, ready for pickings. But he would worry about picking another day, right now he followed an unseen trail over roots, under tumbled rocks, and through thicket of trees.
Finally he reach the one thing he looked forward too every time he steps forth into his backyard, the largest tree in the forest. Its roots ran deep, and all other trees had to bow to its looming height. As a little boy, he enjoyed climbing on this monstrosity as if it was his own playground, at the expense of scaring his mother to death, or giving a scar to his father as he jumped from one branch to another branch like a monkey. Alexander always wonder why his animagus was an Eagle and not a monkey. He would probably like swinging from tree to tree, but decided flight was a much better gift than hanging from a tail.
Without a second thought, he rubbed his hands together, before putting his left foot into the grove of the tree. Step, hand, push. Slowly he left his worries behind, as he gain altitude. At first he thought the worn bark with easily hand hold was replace by smooth new bark. He was glad that he was mistaken as his cracked hands picked another bark to propel him up further. Half way up, his arms quivered about to give way, his breath labor from the exertion, sweat trickle down his back. Luke knew he was extremely out of shape, since the last time he climb this. The year of solitude in hogwarts did no favors for his exercising. His muscles slowly turn to fat, as their was little to no extracurricular on the ground to do. That was about to change no that he had the freedom to move throughout Hogwarts and the surrounding habitat.
But for right now he rest on a branch large enough for two. His eyes slide close, welcoming the warm sun, and a fresh breeze washing over him. A lone drop of sweat trickled down the curvature of Luke's face. Slowly not even he notice the sweat on his face, as he was pulled into slumber.
That was long lived, when he was awoken by birds. Opening his eyes, he saw a nest of small birds. What type, Luke had no clue but as one finish chirping another wore take its place, as if in harmony. Luke did not want to scare the birds, but he understood their worries. Their mother was gone for a long time, and they were worried if she did not return what they should do for food. Luke thought of what he should do. He coughed to clear his throat, not knowing it would work or not since he wasn't in animagus form. A caw came from Luke's throat, imitating an Eagle's. he did this for a moment, and than went silence. The birds just looked at him dumbfounded, before turning around and chirped back and forth between one another. "Luke your getting rusty in your old age," he thought to himself, closing his eyes once more.

| Half-hidden behind a wall of a dirty dead-end alley, Misery sat on the hard ground, staring into nothing. She'd snuck out earlier that evening, right after the sun had set, thinking a walk might make her feel better. It didn't. Her stomach hurt, making her feel like she could vomit – she would have, had she anything left in her.
Misery no longer knew whether the change began during the time she was held captive or after. Having been deprived of blood for as long as she was, she supposed the prior had set off the switch inside her. Now she could consume nothing but the warm red liquid, feeding off a person’s life substance in order to survive. She wasn’t killing when she drank, not that, but Lance’s blood was not enough. Animal blood, she could not hold down. So Misery began searching for others; soon discovered she required a specific type and taste.
It was not only on the inside that the vampire changed. Her appearance had suffered alteration as well; skin paled, hair whitened, eyes clouded. She’d lost weight during her imprisonment, and had not gained any since. The dark circles around her eyes had no time to disappear, either. Despite the everyday sickness, the constant hunger and pain, Misery felt alive. Not well, but more alive than ever. And as such, she had things to do.
It was time to get up, so Misery did. Shaky on her feet at first, but growing steadier by step. She’d caught scent of her feed for the night. Male, between the age of seventeen and twenty-three. Still a boy, but he would do. After all, Misery had been waiting for him for over an hour now. He’d take the same road home every night, a local muggle. She would take five, maybe ten minutes of his time. Approach silently, use a quick charm, feed and be gone. Through the course of past couple of weeks, Misery had taken his blood six times. He was one of those whose blood complimented her system best.
There was not much left to do once she’d fed. Wandering through Ottery St. Catchpole ought to have kept her busy for the rest of the night, as it usually did. But there always was a scent Misery would catch; her senses high on the drug she’d feasted herself upon only moments earlier. His aura felt strong in her mind. This was the night, Misery decided. She’d pay her friend a visit, hoping he had not forgotten her. Hoping he would forgive her absence. Silent as a shadow, Misery glided through the shadow and straight into the backyard of one and only, Alexander Luke Brown.
Xander.

| Alexander did not know if he was awake or asleep. His body felt so heavy, as if gravity increased by ten folds. But his mind was active, thinking, moving, creating. His waking dream sifted from reality to fantasy as easily as flowing water, making him tense at times, trying to fight the rapids to wake up and other times Luke was fluid as if the currents guided him peacefully in the world of dreams, the world of make believe.
Sometimes, he could hear the nest of the birds calling out to their mother, worried that she still had not showed. Other times, he was swept away into the winds as he sore above Mount Everest, a feet that few birds, nor human have ever accomplished.
Xander, a woman whispered, echoing in Alexander's mind. But if he heard it or not, Luke did not respond to it, not at first.

Misery moved onwards. His very essence shone brightly right ahead, his physical body hidden in the life of the tree. She wondered if he would welcome her and, if yes, how. Looking deep inside herself, Misery felt forever changed in some way - but not entirely so. Her mind still held the hopes and dreams her old self did; her heart still loved and feared and hurt the same way it did before. And she'd learned so much, too, which was why she was here now. Misery had a promise to keep.
Having reached the said tree, Misery let her gaze wander up. Alexander's sleeping form, too high to reach, unlike his mind. She would not climb the tree, but wait patiently for her friend to wake. Because she had kept everyone waiting for so long, she was prepared to do a bit of waiting on her own.

Their it was again, still not overbearing, but steady calling out to Alexander. "Wha-" he muttered, his eyes half open, but heavy, about to fall asleep when he turn over. That was a big mistake. His weight now not on the center of mass of the tree, jostled the branch making him lean to far forward. "Waa," was all he yelled as he caught himself from falling to his doom. One hand gripped the branch, while his other hang limply at his side, with the rest of his pinata body.
He was awake now that was for sure, but his damp hand was losing his grip on the tree branch. "Help," he yelled but knowing no one could hear him, he dug radically fast through his pocket, but finding nothing but potion bottles, that did no good. One slipped out falling to the ground, but he was to busy to care at the moment. Not caring about his wand no more, he lefted his other hand up grabbing the branch. It too got slipper with sweat, and his grip slowly was given way.
Momma always said...
But right than he remember that he was an animagus. Alexander took a deep breaths, ready himself before letting go. But before he could transform he landed on a bigger, more sturdier branch, and fell on his butt, making the branch sway but not breaking. Luke looked up to see that the branch was 8 feet from the one he was just on, and Luke himself was 6 foot five inches.
Alexander felt foolish.

| Dear oh dear. Two years gone by and you've become a fool. Must be the lack of my fantastic influence.
Misery watched the events play out before her with a straight face, but the voice of her mind held a certain hint of amusement. She meant only a playful mock, though still uncertain how her appearance would be received.
Cocking her head slightly to one side, she invited the young man silently, to come down and greet her.

| Hey that is not nice, he thought to himself, as if he was bipolar.
He cocked his head to the side, as someone else spoke in his mind. Like an old coat, it felt familiar and gentle for the most part, but coated with a hint of sarcastic humor. He broke into a grin, even though his butt throbbed and his legs twitched funny, knowing exactly who it was. Peeking over the side of the brantch, he yelled out with his voice, and his mind, "Misery!"
Sorry about that, he thought out loud, as his excitement was pulled back restrained. Having an odd feeling that yelling in someones mind might not help much, but just give them a headache. He agreed to come down, and in about five to six minutes he was standing on the roots of the tree. Even the night cool air could not quench the sweat trickling down his arms, and back, the beat red of his face for not only the strain of holding on the branch, but the decent. Oh I am so out of shape.
"Oh how good to see you, my partner in crime. What anarchy have you been raising?" he asked. Looking down at his feet, so Luke did not slip again, making himself look more stupid than what happen up in the tree. He Followed the trail of the bark, until he found himself standing before Misery. The smile faltered when his gaze trailed up to see Misery.

| Indeed, the reply sounded loudly inside Misery's mind. She'd grown used to the silence the past months had offered, but understood the need to take in the other voices again. So she took a breath, calmed her throbbing head and welcomed her friend with a small smile.
The silence he offered the moment his eyes caught her weakened form were evidence enough of how disturbing her appearance was. Still her lips held the ghostly smile. She wished he could see the lighter side of the situation, even if she herself did not know what it was.

| "Horseshit," Alexander snapped back, not wanting to communicate with his mind. He was trying not to jump to conclusions. He wished it would just be a horrible cruel joke on him, that Alexander would return the favor someday. It wouldn't be the first time Misery acted injured for a practical joke, but he had a feeling this wasn't the case. She looked so fragile, and distant, even though they could be no more intimate than sharing each others thoughts.
He restrain his heated anger, the joy and excitement long since gone of seeing an old friend. "Misery, what happen?" he said gentle. Alexander did not know what to do with his hands. They were about to hug Misery, when he first shimmy down the tree, but now his out stretch arms just looked silly, so he slid them in his pocket.

| Misery winced, having failed to switch so quickly to the brutal voice of reality. She looked away, eyes closed for a moment, as if she expected to be hit by a wave of words. When no offence came, she let her defence slip ever so slightly and opened her clouded irises to the young man before her.
She had not used her voice in a long time. But the recently consumed blood still felt warm in her throat, keeping it from feeling dry. When she spoke Misery did so quietly, but without apparent pain.
"Plenty." Pause. "I suppose I do have to explain myself; that much I owe to an old friend. Just know that I am here because I have something else to discuss."

| His anger was not toward Misery per say, but since he decided to stay at Hogwarts for his 7th year, he felt like one by one his friends slipped through his fingers. Even those who stayed at Hogwarts he rarely saw. It was not their fault, he was consume by the stir crazy of being trapped in hogwarts, plus hell bent on finding away to save his parents. But seeing Misery like this, standing before him, the thought of losing someone like he lost his parents, terrified him.
Alexander took a deep breath, to let the cool air wash over him. As his mind cleared up so did the anger slowly died down, giving him at least some clarity to dive into what Misery was about to go into.
"Go-" he felt like this place was less comfortable, less private than Luke would like it to be. And the state of Misery, he was not going to take that chance. "Do you want to talk somewhere else?" he asked, giving the option to Misery, for her to decide.
