Kitchen

*Madison rolled her eyes and smiled, getting herself a glass of water*

"Still not thirsty?"

*she took a sip from her glass then set it down on the counter*

"No Im good thanks" He said with a smile

*She nodded and stared blankly at the ceiling, her mind unable to come up with another conversation topic*

"So, what do you want to do now?" Corbin asked

"Not sure... My house isn't exactly exciting."

*She smiled a little in amusement, still staring at the ceiling*

"We could go out somewhere" Corbin suggested

"Where to?"

*she glanced to him curiously*

"I was hoping you could pick" He said, smiling

"Hogsmeade?"

*Madison didn't think that place would be too dangerous*

"Alright" Corbin said, and he stood up

*She reluctantly grabbed her wand than held out her hand*

Corbin took Madison's hand and waited patiently

*She disapparated with him*

Madison led the way into the kitchen and started preparing some tea, as promised. This had to be the only clean room in the entire house, due to the fact Madison hardly ever came in here. While turning her back on Corbin to face the stove, she said, "I guess Hogwarts has been quite stressful for all the staff members, huh? I can't say I would know, I've hardly been around lately."

"Yeah I wasn't exactly there for the past year and a half either.... I kinda left, and went back today to hand in my resignation, though I was probably already fired" Corbin said, taking a seat at the kitchen table

"Can't say my position is any better. I'm currently on probation, and I don't even know how long it's been. I stopped counting a long time ago."

"Why? What'd you do?" Corbin asked

"Attacked some obnoxious and drunk muggles." She said bitterly as she stired the tea pot on the stove. She didn't allow any eye contact as she did this. It was easier for her not having to look him in the eye.

(What's gunna happen if she looks in his eyes? XP)

"You went on probation for THAT?" Corbin said, surprised, he would have figured it would have been something to do with the school, not something that didn't really have any effect on the school or it's students

(Its just her guilt ^_^ She can't look anyone in the eyes when she confesses her mistakes, cuz she's afraid of judgment. Some of Corbin's Veela attributes might linger too xD lol It would be a very confusing moment for Maddy)

"Well Eirina wasn't too happy about reading it on the Daily Prophet front page, and so I've been laying low since." She turned and leaned against the counter, looking down at her feet.

(Oh, XD)

"Yeah I can't see her being too ecstatic about that" Corbin agreed, sighing a bit, wondering what he should do with his life now

(I gotta go, finish tomorrow?)

"You know you could probably find someplace in Diagon Alley to work at. With all the chaos going on with the Death Eaters, there's probably a high demand for employees around the shops." She said absentmindedly, trying to change the subject as she looked his way.

(Alright, later)

"Yeah, that's where I was thinking of going, Diagon Alley" Corbin said, noticing that Maddy was avoiding looking at him

"Yes, always a good place to check I suppose." When was the last time Madison had spoken to Corbin? Just before she was humiliated by the Death Eaters? That was the second time this week she was reminded of the time she was taken hostage by the leader of the Death Eaters, and simply because she had been reckless. She did recall the conversation she and Corbin had at the Three Broomsticks though. She sighed at the thought, realizing that if she had never left that night, she wouldn't have gotten into that mess with the Death Eaters. But that was life Madison supposed. She hoped Corbin hadn't been too much that day, or that he hadn't taken it the wrong way. Madison groaned as a headache started to form, "My mind's a mess!" She said with a half smirk, then turned to pull out a bottle of muggle painkillers from the cabinet. "So do you have any interests you might seek in the work field?" She asked as she pulled the tea off the stove and started pouring them both a cup.

Why's that?" Corbin asked, ignoring her second question for the time being, he would answer it later
