Kitchen

Probably the only NOT dusty room in the entire house. This is where Madison spends most of her time in the house, considering she hardly comes here in the first place.

*leads Elizabeth into the kitchen from the backdoor and with a wave of her wand, a cup of hot chocolate began making itself*

"You can set all your stuff by the door if you'd like."

*glances over and smiles kindly*

Elizabeth walks in, still shivering violently from the fight. She placed her items by the door, and Ozzy scampered off to explore the kitchen. Elizabeth bowed apologetically. "I-I-I-I'm sorry for being a bother....."

"You're no bother, don't worry."

*smiles reassuringly and hands her the cup of hot chocolate as soon as its done*

"I know its not really the time for hot chocolate, but I don't have much of anything else."

Elizabeth stands as straight and takes the hot chocolate gratefully. Sitting on a chair, she sips it, her hands still trembling slightly. Elizabeth glances around every now and then, looking frightened.

*quietly reads a book, allowing Elizabeth time to relax*

After finishing half of her cup, her trembling has stopped completely. "He.....I...uhm... My..." Elizabeth didn't know where to start.

*glances to her and once again smiles politely*

"Yes?"

Elizabeth explains what happened at Diagon Alley, even though she begins to stutter and shiver. She is afraid of opening up to people, even though she doesn't tell Ms. Reid that.

*sighs and looks down*

"Well I'm glad you stood up for yourself. There's always going to be bullies whether you're in school, or in daily life. Standing up for yourself is the only way to make your problems go away."

*smiles*

Elizabeth looks skeptical when Ms.Reid tells her this. Her hands curl into fists on her lap, and she looks down, her hair covering her face. "B-But...what if they...." A tear can barely be seen falling onto her hand, as she recalls the painful memories of her past.

"What if they what?"

*glances to her with a calm expression*

Quickly wiping the tear off her face, Elizabeth debated weather or not she could confide in Ms.Reid. She seemed nice enough....But what if she told others? "N-Nothing...."

*sighs and looks back down*

"Ms. Cox, I know you're shy, but I'm always here if you need me. Its my duty as a teacher to help all my students."

Elizabeth looked up at Ms.Reid, surprised. No one had ever wanted to HELP her before. Elizabeth's quivering slowed, and she told ms Reid about her past, and how her mother would abuse her when she was drunk. She told her about how she never knew her father, and how she had run away.

*stays silent for a moment, concealing her reaction perfectly*

"So you've been on your own for the past few days? That's horrible..."

*sighs and sits down next to her*

"Although you haven't had the brightest past, not everyone is quite as cruel."

Elizabeth looks down at the table in front of her. Her expression seems blank as she thinks over what Ms.Reid had said. Looking to Ms.Reid, a rare, small smile appeared on her face. "M-Ms.Reid....? Th-Thank you...."

*returns the smile and nods*

"Of course Ms. Cox. Oh, and if you have any more problems with bullies, you'll always be welcome in my classroom."

Elizabeth looks extremely grateful. Ms.Reid had given her a drink, allowed her in her home, and even listened to her problems. Truthfully, this was the most kind thing anyone had ever done for her. Ozzy jumped onto Elizabeth's lap, and then the brim of Ms.Reid's hat.

"Hm? Oh, hey there little Ozzy."

*laughs a little and gently takes Ozzy off her hat and sets him down on the table, she then pets him*

"So you looking forward to returning to Hogwarts?"

Elizabeth nods, her face dropping the smile it once held. "Q-Quite..." She smirks, and thinks about the forbidden forest and The Care of Magical Creatures class.

*smiles, but then glances to the clock*

"Well I'll be able to keep you company for awhile, but at 4, I have a staff meeting to get to. Will you be able to get all your stuff to the train on your own?"

*glances back to her*

Elizabeth looks slightly embarrassed. "I-If you would show me to the train platform right now, that would be brilliant....."

*nods, standing up*

"But of course! Off we go then! Want me to help you carry some things as well?"

*smiles kindly*

Elizabeth blushes, embarrassed. Picking up Ozzy, she placed him on her shoulders. She grabbed the rest of her supplies, making sure she had the old Tome she had bought. "I-It's alright..."
