| Eleanie had been evaporated from her spot on the grounds of Hogwarts, where there had been many people waiting and watching, to an empty land without any given notice about her departure. A large volcano sat in the distance, smoking a deep black smoke. The plains were empty, void of any life, and the only thing that could be seen was that volcano. A voice, similar to Eirina's but not quite the same, echoed around Eleanie, "You shall find and retrieve this container," an image of the container surfaced in a misty smoke in front of her, "and, do care to remember, not every task is as it seems. You will be tested on many things. Good luck." Everything faded away, and now Eleanie was left with himself and the landscaping. (Start time: 1PM HR Time) | |

| (Sorry. 12:15)
Time seemed to just creak on by as Eleanie stood in the midst of Hogwarts Grounds waiting for the first task to start. No one seemed too concerned about her safety, and why would they? She spent her entire waking life at Hogwarts making herself their enemy by the awful antics she made. At that moment, the two other champions or the students, who smeared vile comments at her, were not her concerns, but the impending doom was. Eleanie held onto her heir of calm, like a winter coat over her shoulder, but she was shivering with fear over the prospects of the first task. Her eyes darted from one face to another trying to absorb their knowledge etched in their excited faces, but she gleamed nothing. That made her terrified. If she wasn’t being so shellfish, she would probably have realized that the other two champions would probably had the same fears she did, but she would not look at the other two champions. If she did, she thought she would become ill at the sight of them. So she stood, soaking in the faces of the surrounding students, and their hated words fanning her fears until at the last moment, she began to shake for reals. For the first time in a long time, she looked onto Kaden, his kind features still ever present even to this day, and he looked onto Eleanie and smiled at her. It was the first time she wanted to grab hold, like a life raft, to his generosity, to save her from the oncoming storm of her Anxiety.
It was the last face she saw before the world blurred out of existence, before coming to a halt against a mountain side…no… a Volcano. “Wait!” she yelled out into the void, seeing and hearing the image displayed against the smoke background, but she got no response. “That bitch!” she yelled out after the woman’s voice, but still no response. She kicked up dirt in her frustration, but decided the best thing to do right now is not stand around like a bumbling idiot and go find the stupid trinket. She had two options. The most likely place would be in the center or near the center of the mouth of the Volcano, or the treacherous terrain at the base of the Volcano. None of the two options seemed appealing, but Eleanie’s instincts kicked in. She let her feet do the running, and her mind the processing. As she ran, she peeled off her winter clothing, revealing a white tank top and blue jeans, and letting them fall where they may.
Eleanie did not move to a beeline straight to the mouth of the volcano, but dangler to the left for two reasons. One, she was assuming that if she was here, all three champions were and they would be easy picking with a surprise attack. Two, if she was going to take a walk through hell, she might as well go straight to the 7th layer of hell, meaning she was looking for a cavern straight into the belly of the beast, the active Volcano.

| The ground was starting to shake and the mountain starting giving off a thicker smoke, somehow managing a deeper color than the black it was before. A few spits of lava dripping out of the mouth of the volcano, slowly scampering down the hillside. No trinket or champion was in sight. | |

| The rugged terrain of the mountain was harsh, almost unforgiving. Beads of sweet trickled down Eleanie’s back soaking her white t-shirt until it was transparent. Even though she was sweating profusely, she was use to extreme excursion, and difficult terrain. Big cities and sinister wilderness, they were all the same to her. It took instinct and ingenuity to conquer, even tame the unattainable. But to Eleanie, this felt different and she could not explain why. All that matter to her right at this moment was finding the stupid treasure, and getting the hell out of here.
Speaking of the Hell, the earth rumbled beneath her feet, growling with rage and anger. All Eleanie could do was brace herself, but it did not stop the Volcano from quaking again, or her sliding back several feet as the mountain side gave away under her. Molten lava spewed out from cracks as if the universe was colliding at those very seams. She could feel the heat blistering even from several yards away, and the smoke turn a thick stalk black against the murky brown. It was heavy against her lungs making it hard to breath, even think at times.
But the lava came at her so fast, she did not have time to put up her own magical defenses against the bleak smoke. She had a battle on two fronts, and she took the more pressing matter first. She followed using her eyes wherever the stream lead, finding the thinnest path to trek through the bubbling fire pit. She skirted the edge, as lava began to surround her until she found a shallow stream, where she decided to make her own path from. “Aqua Eructo,” she yelled, pointing her wand at the stream of lava. It hissed. It sizzled. Steam rose from the ashes, joining its fellow brethren, intoxicating the air.

| The lava started to pour out faster and faster, overlapping over what had already dried. | |

| Eleanie watch as her spell was ill effective. It even made it worse. The ground that she made she was losing steadily. Each gallon of molted lava that spewed out from the depths of the Volcano, send her back a step. A laundry list of spells, charms and transfiguration techniques came to her as she slowly loss ground, but she discarded them as easily as the volcano discarded lava.
“This must be an illusion,” she stuttered watching the lava sip into the ground, still bubbling and hissing at her as if it was alive. “The-the Headmistress wouldn’t…let…let-“But she soon realizedthat she hardly knew the head of Hogwarts, and in fact Eleanie was probably a thorn in her side. Eleanie Concluded, even though misguided as her assumption was, that this was probably the most socially acceptable way to get rid of one of the Headmistress’ many problems. The toxic smoke reflected her dark thoughts, making it harder to think straight, and she dwelled on the appending doom, saying curse after curse to everyone and no one in particular when the Headmistress came to mind, more in fact the charm lessons she gave.
Eleanie found high ground, but it would take the lava minutes to flood over the rock, engulfing her in the most gruesome of deaths, but it gave her a little time to think. The bubble head charm came to mind, as she pondered the professor’s classes. Just like before when she was drowning under the water the Headmistress conjured up, every fiber of her being flared up as she spoke the rhyme. It wasn’t perfect but it would have to do. It encompassed her whole entire face, like a scuba mask, but she was able to breath, think more clearly. That is what all that matter.
Eleanie was now fully surrounded. She stood on the highest peak on the bolder watching the lava flow by, like standing on an island surrounded by starving infested sharks. She had little time to loose and her life on the line.
THINK, she told herself.
It was as if she was pulling at straws and one of the suddenly transformed into gold. The Flame-Freezing charm was her answer. She did not need the whole pool of lava to be cool to the touch, but the surrounding area and of course a pathway in front of her. Without even so much as thinking about the consequences of her acts, she cast the charm and jumped right in. DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES!

| The lava continued to flow, slowly out of the top of the volcano as well as out of the sides, bubbling and oozing everywhere, even coming on contact with Eleanie's path. The spell that she had casted worked, but it was still hotter then usual, a few flecks of lava causing minor burns. | |

| It was excruciatingly unbearable. Even though at first it tickled just being near the lava, like a gentle summer breeze, now she felt like she was in a bowling cauldron running through lava. Flecks of burning cinder and ash that descend from above, and bubbling below sending up raindrops of lava set her skin ablaze with sheer heat, but she trudge on until she found a clearing that lava had not submerged yet.
Both the Beauxbaton and Durmstrang champion evaporated from her mind, as she watch as the Volcano erupted into chaos. Her spells witch were helping left her with burns across her arms, legs and even on her face. She was horrible disfigured. This was her hell as she watched a continuous flow of lava, seemingly endless supply. She wanted out, and she wanted out now! All she could do was trudge onward. Still she avoided the mouth of the volcano and searched for a cavern to get into Mordor. She headed North East. The ash, the air everything sent her burns inflamed. She had to cast the Flame Freeze charm on herself, so the pain would be bearable enough to walk.

| The quakes slowed her path. Each time the earth moved below her feet, Eleanie crotched to sustain her balance. Even then she sometimes slide back a few feet. The other obstacle she faced, was bypassing the molten lava. Sometimes the Aqua spell worked, letting her slither through small streams, but other times she had to take long detours until she managed to find a shallow end or a clearer path, all the while suffering from her first, maybe even second degree burns. It felt like she was on fire, a walking inferno being baked even more in this oven. Ultimately she made it. Not to the cavern she was hoping for, but the mouth of the underworld. | |

| Suddenly the top of the volcano started to spurt drops of lava everywhere from popped bubbles, now having the lava coming not just from the ground but the air. | |

| The lava rained down on Eleanie as if it was actual water. Smoke, ash, and dust could not have been enough for the Volcano to irritate Eleanie, now it had to rain down putrid acid that burn the skin, shredded her clothing. She now regretted taking off her robes. If she choose being overly hot, or feeling the lava droplets on her skin, she would choose the first option. It was much safer. To stop herself from crying out in pain, she bit her bottom lip and retreated somewhat to a safer distance until the acid rain seem to clear up a little and she was able to see down into the pit, where hopefully the treasure lies. | |

| In the volcano the lava could be seen, bubbling, and popping up for only a second was a glint of metal, somehow unaffected by the lava, before it disappeared. The heat could be felt, as if it was melting skin, even though it was far within the volcano, only spurts had come up every now and then. | |

| L was done with this whole madness. She saw just a glimmer of the golden trinket bobbing up and down in the fire pit of lava, unperturbed by its surroundings. Soot and ash masked it from time to time, but she could tell that it stayed perfectly still and not being swept away by the current. Eleanie got down on her hands and knees to peer over the side. The heat radiated off almost too hot to even bare.
If only she could willed it too her somehow. Then she would be back at Hogwarts and raise hell for those who put her here. Eleanie made conclusions that the summoning/banishing charms would not work. If it would have she would have done it from the very beginning saving her the trouble.
If she was well transverse in Transfigurations, more apt in it, than she would have easily transfigured the sphered object into a bird and fly it to her. Sitting here doing nothing wasn’t the best plan she had, but her mind did not want to play nice, and think of a solution. She wanted actions, not puzzles.
The wall of heat that showered her, made her burn skin crack and oozed a clear liquid. Dirt and grime rubbed into those open wounds, sending shivers of pain through her whole body. Her bubble head charm seemed to dissolve into nothingness at last, when the burns got so bad that she could not maintain either of the two charms. She was left barren, more exposed than what was left of her clothes.
All the spells she had obtained during the years of Hogwarts seemed to have left her, laid forgotten under her distressed. All but one, which seemed so obvious that it would not work, that it seemed comical but she did it anyways. “wingardium leviosa.”

| The egg didn't listen, only floated once more above and below the lava, as if it were taunting Eleanie. | |

| Eleanie just watched as the glittering thing greeted her as it bobbed up and down. Her thoughts began to slow, her inner voice telling her what to do next was just an echo as she watch her pretty swim in the red sea. She could do nothing; her body was giving out.
It was always the last thing you suspect that gets you in the end. It wasn’t the Volcano spewing vile liquid up in the air or being overrun by it, drowning in its crimson bliss. It wasn’t fire or obtaining third degree burns across her body. Eleanie could barely breath, taking in the black smoke. She coughed fiercely. The sheer wall of heat that was perpetually around her, forced her mouth to be dry, her skin to be clammy and her head pounding. She was dehydrated, but she was too far gone, to delirious to even remember her tasked let alone the spell that could save her life.
Her whole entire body swirled in a circle following the motion of the earth spin, or was that her? She could not tell. It was just about a matter of seconds before she fell into the lava and be lost in the currents.

| Eleanie soared through and into the volcano, with a flash of heat that turned to ice within moments. Now, she was located in an icey landscape, in front of her was a block of ice that contained the container that she was searching for, and just behind that was a large, large manticore. | |

| Eleanie was beamed back to Hogwarts, without the container that she was required to attain. Her time was up, and her portion of the task was forced to end. Incomplete | |
