| Having been alone in her home, Lacetta couldn't find much to do with herself. The place had been clean, though there had never been much to clean, and she herself was dressed and ready for a quiet day.
It had been around noon time, and the winter was starting to set in. Just these past days it had snowed, and there was just a bit of it left on the ground outside of her house. There wasn't a walkway or anything for her to shovel though, so she hadn't even needed to do such a chore.
A fire was lit on the other side of the small room, in the living area, warming up Lacetta's house quite nicely. She was in the kitchen at the table this time, sitting and thinking of what she could do with her day. There was no reason for her to go out, though the inside of the house was rather boring.

| His breath rose in visible puffs as he referred to the letter from Ms. Detenae. This seemed to be the address she'd given for her residence in their correspondence and it certainly fit with his feeling of her personality through the letters. A beautiful neighborhood that was well-heeled but not posh. The forests around Gloucestershire even reminded him of Hogwarts - a lighter version with less darkness in the woods but equally magnificent.
The slip of paper in his hand had a wilted quality to it from how much he had handled it. It had been his first time hiring a muggle taxi cab and fiddling with it while he was strapped in helped him stop from poking around the interior of the car. Trains were one thing, but cars were more mobile and intimate somehow. Chatting a bit with the taxi driver had been interesting as well even if he almost constantly had to change the subject from football to the area they were driving through.
This same parchment led him to the light wooden door where he rang the bell. Derek sincerely hoped she hadn't forgotten their appointment as it would be a bit awkward if he stumbled in on a family gathering or something of the sort. Well, Ms. Detenae was very kind in her letters and didn't appear to be very upset at the idea a Healer from St Mungo's not only had taken her position, but also was in charge of investigating the Daily Prophet's claims. He couldn't help but warm to her for that generosity of spirit.

| Lacetta had only just began contemplating Luke's house that he had offered to her, where she still felt that it was his. It was back and forth that she had gone, living here though cleaning his house when needed and keeping it in order. She was certain that he'd come back one day, and she had only wished for it to remain just as he had left it.
With a bit of a jump, Lacetta had heard the doorbell, at first a bit confused at hearing the ringing noise, though soon she recalled just why. There had been a man who would be visiting her today.
He had come with questions, which made Lacetta a bit uncomfortable, though he had seemed quite nice in his letters. He was the current Head Nurse, having taken her place, though his presence she believed was on behalf of St. Mungos.
Having arrived and opening the door slowly, Lacetta peeked out and smiled upon seeing a young man, looking very nice. The door, now fully open, and Lacetta standing aside, she spoke kindly.
"Hello! Please, do come in!"

| When Ms Detenae opened the front door, Derek could definitely see why the Daily Prophet had pounced on the chance to print their story. She was quite pretty and charmingly polite: the perfect person to make the subject of such a scandal, unfortunately. Brushing that from his mind, the Healer returned her smile with a grin of his own. If she would continue to be sweet when he asked her the more difficult questions on his list, Derek was optimistic about their meeting.
"G'afternoon, Ms. Detenae," he quickly scraped the bottom of his shoes on the doormat before stepping through the door-way. Though it still felt odd to him to be so formal, Valerie had said it would be better to be too distant rather than too casual when it came to this sort of thing so he had to bow to her experience and expertise. Once he actually looked around the hallway, a satisfied smile managed to worm its way onto his face.
"You've got a great house! Wow." Then a sense of decorum returned to him as he heard those words out loud. Derek turned to her, a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry. Uhm, I hope I haven't interrupted anything, I hadn't planned to arrive early but the cab driver took less time than I had expected."
