| The blood did not stop, even after ten minutes of holding, her already soaked robes to her head, so Eleanie proceeded to the Hospital Wing. At first she just peaked inside to see if anyone she caused trouble for was inside. She did not feel up to another altercation, but it seemed to follow her wherever she went. Gladly the Wing was empty except for rows of beds under large windows and small nightstands that settled nicely in between beds.
The curtains were drawn and the partitions were pushed aside so no one could be hiding where she stood. Even the head nurse office showed no signs of life as she approach the center of the room. “Hello,” she called out as casual as if she was talking to the pigmy puff she clean in Eleanora’s office, even though she was bleeding out. She slipped in taking a look around, not too worried about her ear, but she was getting a bit light headed.

| It was just as well that he'd finished healing up everyone before he had to run down to the lake to take care of hypothermic Gryffindors. The rather irritating thing was that the students hadn't told him how and/or why the rat - Rook he believed it was called - would scurry into the Lake. Derek had no memory of students concealing so much from the adults at his time in Hogwarts but maybe that was simply because he never got into much trouble. Maybe this was some sort of Gryffindor pride that prevented them from telling him, but either way, he was not in the best of moods when he strode through the doors.
He was honestly a bit surprised at how quickly students seemed to injure themselves. Most of the wounds were no where near fatal but the student body gained them at a very rapid rate. But maybe that was just the influence of the arrival of Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students. Derek had already begun to brace himself for the results of dueling spells and fights over Veela but this girl standing in his office with the side of her head covered in blood seemed a bit early.
"Please sit on one of the beds. Knocking your head on the corner of my desk would not be an enjoyable addition to your collection of injuries. Trust me." Derek steered the girl out of his office to sit down on the sheeted rocks the Hospital Wing called beds.
Flicking out his wand, he applied a gentle siphoning charm to clean up the dried blood encrusted in her hair, ear and on her neck. As with most head wounds, this one had initially looked worse than it actually was. In fact, it only require three spells - one to clean, one to regrow some of the cartilage and another to knit the skin together again - to completely heal it. The cartilage regrowth one was more complex than the others, but really very basic as far as healing spells went. The only thing that made him pause at all was the shape of the tear in her ear. It looked like a small animal had ripped part of it off. Likely, it was just coincidence as he had treated people back-to-back, but it was enough to make him wonder. Derek slowed down his cleaning and cartilage regrowing as he considered how to broach the matter.

| Eleanie turn to the voice that seemed to repeat several times in the barren room. “You’re the Head Nurse?” she asked skeptically, looking him up and down with a devilish smirk. I should get injured more often, she thought to herself, but she quite enjoyed sending others to the hospital wing more than herself. The Head Nurse paid her comment no mind as he stirred her to one of the empty beds. But before she took her seat, she peeled away her black as night robes. Her button down shirt underneath and the coiled tie strangling her around her neck was unstained by her blood as of yet, letting the robes slipped through her fingers bundled up on the stone floor.
If it was supposed to hurt the Head Nurse did not say, and the discomfort only was a slight nuisance. She would not allow herself to show any more signs of pain today. Not in front of the students, the head nurse, nor the creator himself. Her pride would never let that happen.

| Teenage subtlety seemed to be another thing he had forgotten about from his time here. Despite himself, his lips twitched minutely as he wondered if that was why he had been asked to be more formal. To save him from being ravished by teenagers. Maybe he should have asked Eirina to call him Nurse Noble after all. That would put off uncomfortable stares. Ah how he sacrificed himself for the art of healing. Perhaps the article on Nurse Detenae had been from a rejected student. Derek firmly moved away from that thought track before he started getting distracted. Self-discipline and control was of the greatest importance here. Besides, in this he had forgotten to administer a numbing spell if the student's slight tensing said anything.
"Ah, sorry about that," he grimaced as he gently tapped her ear with his wand. It still was raw skin and cartilage at this point in the healing process: not exactly the most pleasant thing in the world to feel while the nerves and capillaries in your ears regrew.
"And yes, I'm the Head Nurse Derek Noble. And you are...?" Actually now that he had time to really think about it again, Derek was perfectly happy living the rest of his life without being called Nurse Noble. Especially by teenage students that had checked him out while being healed.
Derek raised his eyebrows as he realized her robes lay in a pool on the floor at the student's feet. With a wave of his wand in the general direction of the dress robes, they folded themselves neatly and floated over to the girl's bedside table. She could deal with the dried blood on the dress robes herself later.

| "What for?" she asked, knowing exactly why Mr. Noble apologized for. She did not put up a brave face for him. She would not allow anyone to peel away her exterior to see all the dried stains and scars she is littered with. Sadness, sympathy and kindness were acts to be tread on by the strong, the capable, and she was the latter of the two. Time seemed to tick away as Mr. Noble worked. She felt every second slipped passed her, as the Healer produced results from several complex spells weaved together to reform her ear. "The name's L," She responded, hardly moving an inch, especially her eyes; they stayed fixed looking up into Derek's face, soaking in his concentration and his irritation of her messy demeanor.
Once the robes folded itself, she decided to break the silence, by asking, "Doctor Noble..." Nothing else fit in Eleanie's mind to show him the much respect this man obviously deserved. Like the Headmistress, and all the other professors, except for Eleanora of course, Eleanie held a certain respect for them, regarded them as a superior. Maybe she did not act like it half the time, but she held them in the regards. Using a muggle term, Doctor Noble, felt natural like a glove to a hand. Nurse Noble, Mr. Noble they all seemed subpar to his status. "...tell me, will I survive?" Was it mocking, or a Joke not even Eleanie knew.

| Yes, this definitely had to be some sort of Gryffindor pride mechanism if her tie was anything. Then again, he mentally chastised himself, just because a house had a certain reputation did not mean that all the students conformed to that identity completely. He hadn't done well in his house treasure hunt for example. At the time, his Quidditch captain had joked that it was just as well that Derek hadn't tried out as a seeker.
The spells he had cast were doing their work now and he could step back from the girl - L - and regard her quietly. Her use of muggle terminology was by no means foreign to him but did seem out of place in the middle of Hogwarts. Derek had become accustomed to muggle-borns and a few half-bloods at St Mungo's calling him 'doctor' but he would always feel more comfortable just being titled 'Healer Derek' or even 'Derek'. The syllables of 'doctor' just seemed stiff and the image of old paper and sterile floors would seep into his thoughts when it was mentioned. At least she seemed to be more aware of his position in the school hierarchy than when she had been eyeing him earlier.
The next words to come indicated that she also had a more than healthy sense of the dramatic too. Maybe this was how he could broach the issue of the bite wound on her ear, the faint scratch marks on her scalp near her ear and the shivering girls on the Lake's shore. "A far better chance than the girls with hypothermia from the Lake," his eyes, normally bright with humor, were impassive as Derek stood by L's bed. One of the few things he disliked greatly was someone who purposefully hurt others.

| Waiting for the Doctor’s master piece to be finished, Eleanie smoothed out the wrinkles in the bed sheets. It was not luxurious bed sheets like up in Gryffindor tower, and she presumed all of Hogwart Houses. Those were fluffy, heavy and warm as if sleeping on a cloud. Red with gold trimming seams, it was bright and festive. This on the other hand was stark white, thin and cold to the touch, but it was much better than sleeping out in among the trees at night, which she had a few times because the Forest became a much more dangerous place in the evenings and through the night.
It was not till he spoke, that she realized he was finished. She looked up into those devilish, delicious eyes of his, her eyes full of amusement, but her words lack luster, even a grain of mild surprise, and an ounce of pity. “Oh. I am sorry to hear that. I hope they will recover. Why did they do a silly thing like that?” She played ditsy well, wanting to draw out all the intimate details of her exploits.
