| Aiko saw one of the durmstrang boys swimming torward them. She gently put Rook into Emma's hands and pushed Emma gently torward the boy. It was getting really cold by now and Emma, who had entered the water before her, would be even more colder. | |

| Adalrik seemed bent on ruining the moment, as he brought up the two Gryffindor girls again. Miron gave a short huff, as he looked to his friend with a bored look on his face. He did think over Adalrik's words though, as a favor from Hogwarts student could come in handy. She may know some nice areas for trapping the kids that got on his nerves which, at this point, might as well have been Adalrik.
Before Miron even had a chance to decide, the guy had moved passed him and towards the shore. Miron rolled his eyes and crossed his arms as he stood at the edge. He wanted nothing to do with that cold water, and Adalrik was plenty a good swimmer for those two. He'd help the girls out when they got to shore, but otherwise, he remained where he was. What irritated Miron the most, was that the longer they spent screwing around out here, the less time they'd have in the castle before the day was over.

| After making sure Emma was safe, Aiko swam back to the shore and tried to run torward the castle to notify a proffessor. She was freezing cold and wet, but she had to get Emma to the hospital wing. | |

| The buzzing noise that Erika had managed to ignore for the most of their trip broke out in the voice of their arrival. The students that had previously been sleeping, or talking quietly in the background, now walked and talked noisily as the ship brought them to shore. Rubbing her eyes of the travel-induced sleepiness, she had lifted herself up from her seat and glanced around her peers; a jumble of furry cloaks and blood-red robes. Miron and Adalrik were nowhere in near sight, which meant they hadn’t bothered to wait for her. The day had been going along quite well in terms of their relationship as well, which in turn gave way to one of Erika’s hateful-bitch-moods. She drifted behind a line of students, her own cloak heavy on her shoulders, her lips lingering at a smile that reflected only irritation.
Erika cast but a glance at the great structure before her; as she got off the ship, the castle of Hogwarts loomed before her, and she might have stopped to admire its structure had she not a reputation to maintain. As it was, she made her way right down to the shore, with some of the other students stopping to make way for her, and some others even reaching out to help her in hopes to gain favour. They never did. Erika was possibly the most popular girl in school, but she kept that popularity mostly to herself. She hung around Miron and Adalrik sometimes, but everyone else was a puppet in her pocket, a step up to her own goals.
She saw them finally, Adalrik in the water and Miron by the shore, arms crossed. She walked to him, casting a critical eye at the scene before cocking her head to one side; the smile that captured her lips made her face prettier but the smile itself did not extend to her eyes. It was perfectly fake, and rather believable. Words one might have expected to follow such a smile were quite the contrary however.
“Why is our dear Adalrik swimming with rats, Miron?”

| (Sorry, I've been so busy, I nearly forgot about this rp! ^^")
As the younger Gryffindor handed Emma her the soaked ball of white fur, she raised him up high in the air, to keep him out of the water. Emma never really did have much experience swimming, and with her top priority being Rook, keeping herself above water hadn't worked out as well. Her head bobbed in and out of the water continuously. She had to keep blinking the water out of her eyes each time the murky depths swallowed her up, and it left everything a wet blur around her. She had never felt so blind- and freezing. Didn't people die that way? Her heart began to race as all her knowledge of the Black Lake flushed through her mind, and her panic began to rise as she thought of what wicked creatures might suck her in. She spun around quickly, when she noticed the sound of licking water getting closer to her, and a large bulky figure loomed over.
She blinked her eyes again and was able to identify a blurry face and hair, giving her some small glimmer of hope. She called out, rather desperately, "I don't think I can swim back!" assuming the rescuer was likely a Professor either from Durmstrang or Hogwarts. Her head sunk down again, and when it came back up, her vision was obscured once more- but she knew he was there, and like any endangered being would, she moved toward him in a slow, one-armed and rather feeble stroke. While one hand was raised high to save her tiny little companion, the other carried her quirky, bent wand, leaving nothing but the thing stick that was her arm to ineffectively cut through chops of water that came lapping over her.
She could feel Rook's cold, wet, and shivering body in her hand, and it gave her the extra bit of motivation to move that she needed to get to him. She closed her eyes each time the water subdued her, swallowing as much air as she could, when she could, until she felt that she had reached him. Though her body was sluggish, and growing tired (she could already feel her muscles beginning to lose strength), her mind raced onward: to the shore, where hopefully she would be helped up the path, through the castle, and up the stairs to the Hospital Wing. Now that she knew someone was there to save her, she felt reassured. It was Rook she was worried about, being much smaller, and more fragile than she.

| No shit she couldn't make it back to shore. Had she really thought that she could before jumping into the lake? She probably hadn't thought at all, typical of the mindless children attending these schools. Now here she was, about to drown, all because of, what, a furball?
As Adalrik reached her he wrapped his arms under hers and hoisted her head above the water. Luckily she was a good deal smaller than he was and it was no issue for him to support her weight. He swam easily back to the shore, the cold water no effect on his trained muscles.
His body glistened with the lake water as he emerged. His blonde hair was plastered to his face and dripping. Without regards to her feelings Adalrik dropped the wet girl onto the sandy shore and stood up. She was still breathing and coherent, but her body was shivering. Before grabbing his shirt he looked down at her and said, “Think about what you're doing next time. There's not always going to be someone around to save you.”
Adarlik pulled his shirt back on and slipped into his shoes. He spotted the other Hogwarts student and barked a command at her. “Get this girl some help, now.” He then pushed his way past his fellow Durmstrang students and headed toward the castle, not in the mood to deal with Miron's ridicule and Erika's taunting.

| "Beats me," Miron told Erika as she approached. She'd definitely taken her sweet time catching up, but Miron didn't mind. He tried to think of a witty retort, as he often did, but he was rather distracted by the sight of the girl holding the rat up high like a golden chalice. Though he was in mutual agreement with Erika; anyone who kept a rat as a pet was a rat as well. It made him lose all interest in the rat girl. The moody one, however, had Miron's attention.
He glanced to Erika, a smirk played on his lips as he gave her a nod, "Don't judge the man's soul mate sweetheart." He gave a short chuckle as he watched Adalrik swim with the girl back to shore. Miron was restless by now, but as his friend took little time to make sure the girl was alright, Miron had been satisfied, and soon they were headed up towards the castle. He decided that the jokes he'd stacked up could wait till later, when they didn't have much more interesting things to do.

| Aiko heard the durmstrang boy shout at her. She ran torward Emma, who was checking that her rat was all right. Aiko wrapped her arm around Emma and she walked past the other Durmstrang boy and girl torward the castle. She thought, "Im going to kill Elainie when i find her," as she struggled to walk while supporting Emma, who was taller that her. | |

| "Well," she sniffed. "Isn't he a proper champion?" Erika turned on her heel, following Miron up to the castle. It was no longer fun and what happened to the little rats was not of her business really. | |

| As she was dropped into the sand, she immediately started coughing without any warning to the people around her, or herself. She spat up the lake water that had settled unpleasantly inside her, having swallowed more of that than actual air. Bent over coughing it all up, she could feel the tremors of her body, and all she wanted was a nice warm fireplace to sit in front of- and blankets, lots of blankets.
His words brought her pause, though, as she looked up at him realizing he wasn't a Professor at all. And not even just a student, he was a Durmstrang student. Coming from a complete stranger, and also the one who just saved her life, the words were sharp, and certainly not taken lightly. She watched him and his friends head up the path. By the time she'd considered thanking him, he was already far from her sight, and long gone from the area. It all weighed heavily on Emma's shoulders, as she did realize now how stupid and reckless she had been. She could have been gone for good, and her mother would have gotten a letter explaining the tragic accident and offering her condolences.
Emma shuddered at the thought, feeling little difference between how cold she was now, and how cold she would be dead, but the younger Gryffindor had soon come to help her to the castle. Though Emma could walk just fine, her limbs were shivering like her aunt's chihuahua as she curled them around Rook to try and keep him warm. She then looked to the girl, and told her through chattering teeth, "Don't w-worry-y about her-er."

| "We should go to the Hospital wing immediately. After that ill go report to a professor. You look like you've been through a blender!" Aiko said. She hoped that she would be able to get to the Hospital Wing quickly. She also hoped that a professor would be near. Emma seemed to be in alot of pain, and Aiko did not want her in a fatal state. | |

| "Excuse me."
If Derek was not on duty, he would have been far more apologetic about pushing through and past students to get to where he needed to be. A few students had rushed to the Hospital Wing and told him of not one, but two students having leaped into the Lake. There had also been something said about one of the girl's pets, but he had already been out the door before they finished. At this time of year, hypothermia was a real danger, especially if the decision to swim in freezing waters was a spur of the moment one. These girls were just lucky that someone had decided to get professional help. He knew he should have been waiting for the arrivals with the rest of the school, but he had doubted they would need him while he was busy treating people who wanted to make the feast tonight. Today was shaping up to be very hectic.
Then he found two completely soaked girls on the shore while several Durmstrang students walked past, utterly ignoring them. Derek grit his teeth together, eyes colder than the lake as those selfish brats dared to saunter away from children who may be on the verge of death. But once he had actually reached the two students, his manner was restored to that of a kind Healer who knew exactly what he was doing.
"I'm Derek, the Head Nurse. What happened girls?" the last thing they needed would be for the students to fall asleep on him now. While he waited for their explanation, he dried them with a lightning fast flick of his wand and conjured warm blankets that he swiftly wrapped around both of them.

| Even after the charm, and after she was dry, her arms shook all the same. Her muscles hadn't quite caught up to her nerves just yet, but once he'd offered the blankets, she wrapped it around herself tightly, being sure to bury Rook in the warmth as well. She looked to the younger girl, as the nurse asked the question, and hoped the girl would understand when Emma said, "Well, my mouse, he fell, in the Lake. I swam in to get him, and," she looked to the girl again, "She came in after me to help."
There was a reason she hadn't mentioned Eleanie. Emma didn't believe pointing the finger would make Eleanie hate anyone any less, and simply wanted to spare the extra hassle of angering her even further. She didn't want to get anyone in trouble, especially if there didn't seem to be any point. She saw Eleanie in plenty of trouble, and that hadn't changed her attitude in the slightest. She hoped the other Gryffindor would understand what Emma had said, and not add anything about Eleanie into the mix.

| Aiko understood why Emma hadn't mentioned Elainie. She stood quietly and said nothing, as the Head Nurse wrapped blankets around them. She stared at the Durmstrang students who were walking torwaard the castle, smirking and talking as they went. | |

| As far as he knew, small rodents rarely ventured into deep water, especially at these temperatures when snow was actually forecasted to fall this week. The only thing that seemed to make sense were if someone had thrown the mouse into the lake, otherwise the girls wouldn't have needed to swim to save the pet in the first place. Despite all of this, they wanted to pretend it was an accident rather than a bullying incident.
The younger of the two students was standing, eyes following the Durmstrang students as the filtered into the castle. Now unless she had warmed up far more quickly than most human bodies could, she was better off huddled in a ball to keep her body heat from going into the cold air around them. The blankets could take a bit of mud.
"Here, sit down," to help them regain their core temperature, Derek took out a flask of hot water from one of the multitude of pockets in his robes. He had been lucky that he had known exactly what he would be dealing with before he left the Hospital Wing. The Healer gave it to the mouse-owner first and directed the other student to sit beside her.
"Was it the Durmstrang students?" from the way the younger Gryffindor had watched them so quietly, it seemed a definite possibility.

| (Sorry for not rping sooner) Aiko muttered, "no, one of them saved us, actually." She sat down tiredly, and just wished to go to bed after the plunge in the cold water. | |
