| She felt slightly nervous to be near the creatures. she had a deep love for them but was afraid something would happen to them but she did as the professor instructed to do. | |

| Emma's eyes darted around like crazy once Professor Valenta opened the cage. She caught a glint of gold, like the Professor said to look for, but those things were fast. Emma was just itching to grab that broom, and fly around with the little guys. They were just like snitches, only they were living, breathing, creatures! She moved over to Matt and gave him a nudge.
"This is so cool!" Emma told him. The excitement was almost too much to bear, for one she was getting to fly during class, and two, she was getting to watch these neat little birds! She couldn't imagine them being sick or ill, even though the Professor had stated that, they just seemed so quick and awesome fluttering around the way they did. She started listening for them, rather than trying to spot them, so she could focus back in on the Professor.

The open cage set a small part of Matthew free as well. He became aware of his senses again, the energy that pulsated around him. He let the colour of the sound, the smell of colour engulf him, tearing at his being until there was no Matthew left. He felt the weight of his body when Emma nudged him, but he did not mind it. His ears became sharp to the sound of fluttering wings. His eyes followed one of the birds with ease he had not thought to expect. It was unlike anything he had experienced before. He looked away from the creature, found his gaze on Emma. And he smiled brilliantly.
“Is this real?”

| Kimbree let out the breath that she didn't even know she was holding. Nothing she had read in books could prepare her for what was going on around her. The beat of their wings were mesmerizing. She didn't understand how people could have even thought of harming such breathtaking creatures.
She heard herself say "Woah". She looked over at The other two students to see if they were equally amazed with what they were seeing. This was one class she could see herself enjoying in the long run.

| A great surge of happiness shot through Eleonora as she watched the students expressions when the snidgets flew out of the cage. They looked entranced, all smiles and bright eyes. If this was what teaching was about she could see why people chose to do it. It was a wonderful warm feeling sharing her love of wild things with others and seeing their worlds expand. Her nervousness and hesitation from her previous class had almost entirely dissipated.
"Ok, get going you guys! Come to me if you have any questions or problems. I'll just be here watching." Eleonora had to fight the urge to run off and follow the creatures herself with how beautifully they shone in the sunlight.

| She spotted one and followed its path as best she could but it was faster than she thought it was. She tried to get the best view of it without getting too close but right when she thought she would be able to see it well it flew in the other direction. "humph" she sighed. | |

| The first thing Emma did was head over to those brooms and grab one for herself. With one of these she bet she could go just as fast as those birds! With a total 'challenge accepted' face, Emma kicked up into the air and hovered, listening for the closest one. She glanced at the other, Matt, and the other Gryffindor. She hadn't asked for the girl's name, she noted to herself that she would ask later, before she focused on the air around her. | |

| Satisfied with what she viewed after following it for a while she decided to land. It seemed like a good idea to start the homework assignment. She also thought that she should introduce herself to the other students since she knew no one by name.

Matthew was careful picking out a broom. He glided his hands over the rough wooden surface once he thought the broom was right for him, then let it drop and held his palm above it, like he was taught to do in first year. When the broom shot up and touched his fingers again, he knew it was right for him and he wasn’t afraid to fly.
He tasted the wind, hovering at first, then setting off after one of the snidgets. He caught its gleaming between two boxes, and it zoomed away before he could reach it. Matthew thought to fly carefully, but he started gaining speed and it was wonderful; and he hadn’t realized until he was flying side by side with the bird, and the hum of its wings was loud in his ears. He watched the creature, noted the rotation of its wings and blinked once it disappeared from his sight. Slowing down, Matthew circled around the field, saw Emma some distance away, more students up in the air. A snidget circled around his head. Flew away. Matthew followed.

| Kimbree started her diagram. She couldn't help but look up and smile as the other students flew around. She liked seeing people having fun. She knew it could only last for so long before she had to get serious about the homework but watching the snidgets fly around she couldn't help but giggle until she started having a laughing fit. She didn't know why. They seemed to amuse her so much. | |

| Keeping track of the snidgets was easy. Keeping track of the students on the other hand... Eleonora was used to following creatures movements and knowing when they were in danger but she wasn't very good at doing the same for people. She watched as most students opted for following the birds on brooms and flew off into the air. They all seemed like they could handle a broom just fine which set her more at ease; it would have been bad if someone had fallen. The girl who had mentioned the golden snitch in particular seemed to be keeping up with the birds very well. Eleonora imagined she must play Quidditch for her house team.
Taking her eyes from the students Eleonora gently ran a finger down the back of the snidget that was still seated in her palm. This one had a clipped wing and couldn't fly more than a few feet and because of this it had grown accustomed to being handled by humans. Its small body was warm and soft, the nearly imperceptible weight of it stable in her hand. As she was stroking its feather Eleonora heard laughter coming from nearby.
"Everything ok, Ms. Lupin?"

| Emma spotted Matt flying after the snidgets, and couldn't help but feel a little competitive about it. She sped off after one of the birds, trying to see as much of it as she could, swerving back and forth in pursuit of it. Once she was following it, however, she could now see it was a fat little bird, shaped just like the Snitch itself. She stopped suddenly, as the bird made a rather abrupt turn, and she flew off after it again. It changed to direction like one too, like it could stop in a heartbeat and turn another direction. It had much more control then a mere witch on a broom, such as herself.

| Eleanie came extremely late for this Care of Magical Creature class. Usually she was on time, sometimes early in fact, but this particular class she had no interest in. It wasn't because the subject was boring. Not at all. She found danger beautiful; like a forest fire was breathtaking but from a far, so was majestic creature. It all came down to the inexperience professor, who had no clue what she was doing or how to handle a classroom. To L, she wasn't a professor, someone who deserved her respect, but a puppet being pulled by the many puppet masters known as students.
Taking her sweet time across the grounds, she stifled a yawn as she reach the group of students surfing on the winds with a shaft between their legs. They were observing some sort of pesky white ball thing fluttering through the air. Kaden would have liked this class, if he were here at the moment.
Loosing track of the white pesky ball things for only a moment, she return to her senses seeing Eleanor in the middle of the surrounding chaos. Eleanor, she repeated to herself a bad taste forming in her mouth. It was the same name as her mother, and a derivative of her own name. She could not help but detest the name even more.
Without waiting to be ousted by her fellow students, or get a deserved but frivolous scolding so soon as she got there, she made a straight line to Eleanor. "Ms. Valenta?" Not even bothering to use her title as professor as a sign of respect. "Excuse my lateness. My herbology homework seems more important than this class," she said being bluntly honest.

| Kimbree looked up from her homework to see a disinterested girl that see could see was in gryffindor. She seemed to dislike the professor very much. She had seen that she had came rather late for the class also. Just looking at the girl made Kimbree shiver. She didn't look very friendly but to Kimbree almost everyone looked that way, but the energy she put off made her feel more so towards her. | |

Matthew made it a game, flying close to the bird and letting it get away. Sometimes it was too fast for him to see; other times his sharp eyes followed it to an impossible distance. Once again he recalled what Emma had told him about Quidditch and the Snitch. He never thought the sport could be this fun. And he reminded himself, slowing down to touch the ground again, that he hadn’t thought today’s COMC class could be handled with such brilliance. While he was putting the broom back to its original position, his eyes searched for the professor. He wasn’t sure if she was looking his way, but he smiled at her nonetheless. He would make sure to do well in her class.
He saw a late student approach, the girl, but he couldn’t hear her from where he was standing and his mind had wandered off again anyway. His rucksack was left in the Slytherin dungeon, so he had no parchment to write on. He had no doubt he would remember what he saw today, though. Settling near where the other students were sitting, either on boxes or ground, Matthew chose the soft grass and waited for Emma to come down.

| Eleonora absently stroked the snidget in her palm and watching the students who were still flying before answering Kimbree. A few more students were landing and she thought she saw the Slytherin boy smile at her. She would need to ask his name before class was over. “Oh, this poor thing broke his wing when he was a baby and can't fly very much. I like to bring him out with the others, though, so he can watch and remember what flying was like.” It was awfully sad to think about. Eleonora wouldn't know what to do with herself if she was kept from doing the things she loved, like being outside and caring for creatures.
As she was lost in her thoughts another student sauntered up from the castle. It took Eleonora almost until the girl had reached her to realize it was Eleanie from her previous class. She groaned inwardly, all light and happy thoughts dissipating. Class was going so well! Why now? As Eleanie approached and told her right to her face that she didn't think her class was important Eleonora was shocked. She couldn't fathom what went through people's heads when they were so outrightly rude. She knew she probably seemed very unprofessional just standing there taking an insult, but she honestly didn't know how to respond. She couldn't just ignore this but she really didn't want to jeopardize how well her class was going today. Much to her chagrin she felt a slight red tinge seep into her cheeks.
“Ms. L, I'm starting to see you don't like my class, but that's no reason to be disrespectful,” Eleonora tried to sound as firm as possible but with her gentle voice it felt wrong. “I expect you to get straight to work now that you're here with no more outbursts, please.”

| Emma would have been in the air all day if she hadn't noticed everyone else went down already. Her broom slowed until she was only hovering in the air, a frown plastered to her face. What was actually the majority of the class period felt like five minutes to Emma when flying was involved. Did it have to be over so soon? At least she had plenty to see about what she saw while flying with the birds.
She surveyed the rest of the training grounds from the air, smiling as she identified the Professor; Emma had little doubt she would become one of her favorites. This class had been the best COMC class she'd ever had! She looked over at the others, enjoying her bird's eye view, and noticed Eleanie speaking to the Professor. Emma recognized Eleanie usually for the sake of avoiding her: the girl never seemed to like much company.
She'd almost forgotten to thank Professor Valenta though! Some an awesome class from such an awesome teacher deserved all the thanks she could get, Emma thought. She nodded to herself- a bit of a habit to her- and touched down to the ground. Once she set the broom up where she'd found it, she hurried over to the Professor, oblivious to the conversation that was taking place right before her eyes.
"Thanks so much Professor! That was really fun, can't wait for your next class!" She flashed an excited grin and waved before walking over to where Matthew and the other girl was sitting. She was still smiling, as she hopped up onto a crate and sat cross-legged.

| (Yes. Eleanie likes to be addressed as “L”)
Eleanie could not help be amused by the look of bewilderment on Eleanor’s face as Eleanie herself denounced her class, but still she had no authority over her own students. Chaos ensues when there is not order, control of the situation. Eleanie was all about order when it came down to it. “Not to be rude or anything,” Eleanie said, which in her tone of voice was rude all the same, “Isn’t this where you suppose to give me detention or take a way little house pointies?”
But right at the moment Emma came strolling up, budding into the conversation. With any other professor she would have leaved it at that, went to a small nook out of the way and started on her work, but Eleanor irritated her, Emma irritated her, this waste of a day irritated her. She could not help but say something. “Excuse me, Emma. Can’t you see we are talking here? Even though you are a star quidditch player, doesn’t give you preferential treatment. Not here. Not now. Not ever.”

| Emma looked back over her shoulder, and smiled, "Sorry Eleanie!" before she turned back to the other students, and asked both Matt and the other Gryffindor girl, "Did you see how huge those birds were? They look just like the Snitch!" She grinned. She wasn't thinking much about Eleanie's behavior towards her, nor was she taking much caution in making sure she didn't make it worse. Emma never was good at sensing people's attitude, or negative thoughts for her. She acted before she thought, and that's just what she did in this situation, just like any other. | |

He watched her fly and soon after, as he saw her go over to the professor, his eyes again followed her movements and her smile. The smile was never far from her lips, he was starting to notice. He could hear her speak from where he was sitting and it drew a smile to his lips as well. Emma was really nice, but no matter how entertaining Matt had found the lesson to be, he would not approach the professor quite so boldly. He liked to stay on the borders of their reality, there and not really there. Times he found it easy to talk to someone were special and few.
And then he head the other girl speak. Matthew frowned, surprised at how a student could speak so rudely to the professor. His eyes searched her and found traces of Kaden, which confused him more. When her hostility turned towards Emma he stood.
He was standing in position when Emma appeared in front of him, asking something; something he hadn’t quite caught, his mind on this Eleanie and her sharp words. “What?” he asked, and it took a moment before he looked to her, again finding that smile on Emma’s lips. “Sorry, what?”

| This is unbelievable. Eleonora couldn't understand why Eleanie was acting like this. Had she somehow offended her before? She thought back but the one other time she had seen Eleanie. She acted the same way without provocation then as well. Here she was, again, blatantly disrespecting someone older and more experienced than herself. Eleonora could sense the tension mounting and realized she had do something about it. Just being firm but still friendly was not going to cut it anymore. She was worried and nervous to hand out any sort of punishment but it appeared it couldn't be helped.
Just as she was about to speak Emma walked up and thanked her for a good lesson. This little kindness gave Eleonora the push she needed to try to take control of the situation. After Eleanie had talked back to Emma as well, Eleonora turned to her and mustered up courage. “The way you are behaving towards me and the other students right now is unacceptable. You can think badly all you want about me but you have to keep it to yourself. I'm taking points away from Gryffindor and you are going to need to make up this class since it is nearly time to pack up already, or else you will have a hard time passing. I am not going to tolerate this in the future.” That was the best she could manage and she still felt it wasn't quite enough.

He was out to greet the new professor, for he had not the opportunity to do so earlier. The time of her lesson was a bit inconvenient, but Sorrow had woken early, armed himself with a parasol and set out to the castle's grounds. Outside he shadow-crossed at first opportunity, down by the gates and all the way to the part of the Forbidden Forest that was closest to the training grounds. There he reappeared beneath the shadow of the trees, opened his parasol, and made his way towards the noise of Miss Valenta's class.
The voices reached him first, but a moment to draw him towards their owners. Sorrow recognized Eleanie Carr from his own class; and the woman she was addressing, he supposed, was the new Care of Magical Creatures professor. His expression did not change, nor did the calm in his step quicken as he made his way through other students. He nodded to professor Valenta as he approached and came to a stop behind Eleanie, parasol above his head and all. He had no doubt professor Valenta could handle the situation, but he did have an issue with students that showed no respect to their professors. His voice was harder than he expected it to be, but it illustrated the problem exquisitely.
“Is there a problem, Miss Carr?”
