Devil in Disguise (Tag: Aries)

*Bristol, an ancient city that has stood the test of time for a century now was going to be awakened by an unexpected guess. In a quiet neighborhood near the center of town out of thin air appeared a woman in one of the many forgotten phone booths that scattered the busiest parts of town. She wore a skin tight spaghetti strap laced dress that fit her perfectly in all the right places. It was midnight blue dress that accentuates her pale white skin and her long raven hair.
 
She looked ready to hit the night out on the town, not the middle of the day in the midst of a quant market place. Aries Lestrange allured a presence that could be hard to ignore. She preferred it that way, as she made her way into the heart of the city. It took her no time at all to make her way across the Bristol Bridge and passed the Avon River to one special café shop to meet her ‘special client’
 
The thought amused her, as she put her retro handbag underneath her left arm, having both free hands to open the French doors into the smell of roasted coffee beans brewing and dark wooded panels leading to a veranda.  She made eye contact with the Host giving him a slight wink and a coy smile before retreating outside to watch the flow of people straddling by on foot and in their vehicles.
 

She did not worry about not introducing herself to any strangers sitting alone. Her pet will come in time, she just had to be patient.*

*Aries only tipped her head up slightly to acknowledge the newcomer standing before her. Her attention which was once on the busy street and the river below now was squared center on a gangly man with tattoos lining up and down his arms. A smile could not be hidden on Aries’ face, as she pulled out the seat next to her, giving him no other choice than to make him sit right next to her.*
 
“Please do.”
 
*The strain on the boy’s face could not mask the charm of his words or the delicacy of his actions. He knew exactly how to play the situation, but did his actions play to his advantage? Only time would tell. The one thing Aries had plenty of was time. One thing Aries did not do was go straight to business, but let the silence shimmer. The situation was set, and she made it clear that she controlled all the pieces. All she did to enact the whims of her power was smile at him, letting the gentle breeze wisp her stray hair back and forth.*

*The Hostess behind the counter came. Her perky demeanor serving Aries guess did not fade as she presented Aries with a tray of delights and a tall glass of one of their many delicious concoctions. Aries took the tall glass, but waved off the rest of the treats. Like a ray of sunshine, the Hostess beamed at both of them before retreating from their presence.

Now that they would not be bothered for a while longer and the street was thinning out because lunch hour was over, Aries felt comfortable to talk freely. She reached into her handbag that was nestle in her lap to retrieved not her vine wood, hair of a Pegasus wand, which was the first thing recognizable in the purse of hers, but a photo of a well-dressed businessman. He wore a suit and tie and had a bruiting look about him as he sat behind his desk. Aries took one last look of the photo before sliding it over to…*

“Clovis Nacht, age 22, birth place and birth date undecided, I would like to introduce your mark, Mr. White.”

*Aries read every movement in Dein’s posture. Even the slightest gesture, or flicker in the eyes, she read them all, but she did it in the most casual of ways. She leaned back in her chair, sipping her foaming Cappuccino still watching the street as pedestrians past casually shopping down market street.*

“Funny.”

*Her words and actions stated otherwise. She did not look hardly amused by his jest. Instead of mulling over his insult any further, she focused on the matter at hand which was the anonymity of Mister White, who proud himself of being an enigma, a phantom little is known about but whispers and wild accusations. Even with Aries power and standing in many communities, she knew little about him.*

“All I want is a name, his real name and his location. That is all I want you to do.”

*Sounded simple enough, but if it was that easy Mr. White would be already in the Obituary, killed by the Death Mistress herself, or worse she would make him work for her. She was dead set on finding him, but knew that her moves were being blocked by his; only someone as insignificant as “Clovis” would be able to slip unnoticed through Mister White’s defenses, destroying any hope of salvaging his strategy.*

"Mr. White stole some antiquities of mine and I wish to procure them once more."

*Like a good pet, “Clovis” was eager to please his master. Aries could see it in his eyes; the eagerness to get started right away, the desire to succeed, all to prove himself to Aries.  It was quite endearing seeing him jump through hoops, if it weren’t for his interior motives, which made Aries like him even more. “Clovis” showed promised even someone so young, but he still was a child in many ways, still lacking in basic skills, which he will learn soon enough.*

“Contact me? No. No. No. No.”

*She gave him a pouty look, as if he displeased her with his antics.*

“I will know when and if you have succeeded. I-will-come-to-find-you.”

*Her fingers which caressed Clovis hand moved up slowly up the man’s arm, tracing the outline of several tattoos as she went along. Her eyes followed her fingers as it made its way to his shoulder blade. Which once was a small spark of curiosity, became a full on forest fire of burning desire to unraveled the mystery of Dein Edrins, her new play thing.*

*His supple skin was as smooth as glass. Her hands glided over the bare skin like tropical birds skimming over the ocean surface. She could not resist the pull of his exotic gifts. How easily the chameleon could change his forms in a blink of an eye. Such power he held that came so naturally to him, which people such as herself would kill to have. That is why her pet was useful. That is why Aries took such an interest in him. “Clovis” is the next generation of Dark Wizards, which had an allure that only Aries could ascertain, but “Clovis” was still young and naïve.  He still had many things to learn before he could become great like the headmistress herself.*

“Yes, love, one other thing.”

*Her hand found its way to his far cheek. She was now ever so close to him as she lean in. Her lips brush up against his ear as she spoke ever so sweatly.*

“You may change your face from night into day, Dein Edrins, but leaving no paper trail will be the death of you.”

*She had suede over many of men, and “Clovis” was no different. Lust and sexual pleasures was only one of many tools she had in her arsenal. Every small detailed that surrounds her she had a degree of control over. The ones who fought the most, struggling and denying the power she held over them the less control they had of their own lives. "Clovis" wasn’t one of them. He used her as much as she him. That had suede over each other destiny, but who shall plummet first? Aries, who sits on Mount Olympus as a Goddess of her domain or "Clovis", the shadow walker with many faces that is trying to rise out of the pit of Tartarus to make a name for himself?

She released him from her clutch, settling her hands in her lap instead. The conversation was just about done, but she wouldn’t allow him to aimlessly blunder off. She wouldn’t waste her time or his. She grabbed her Technicolor purse that sat on the table untouched and withdrew a stack paper, and a note. She slide it over to “Clovis” looking over her shoulder while doing it to see if anyone else was paying attention. No one was.*

“This is ten percent of your payment in Muggle money. You will need it where you are going.”

*one thing to know about Aries is her smile which could charm even the deadliest of beast, could transform into something vile, pure evil. Aries had no doubt that she could have gotten the answer out of the two thugs, if she wanted too, but where was the fun in that? "Clovis"was so eager, his tongue out and his tail wagging of excitement to prove himself. She would let him be and all the while keeping her hands clean. It was a win-win situation, and if "Clovis"died in the process, he wasn’t the man she thought he was.*

“Goodbye, Sugar,” she said ever so sweetly.
