The Night Life (Gryffindor Party: Invitation Required)

Music was roaring as it bounced the room, or perhaps that was just the people dancing to it. It was loud, even though the noise that bounced off the walls never penetrated into the hallways. Nobody knew about the party besides those who were in it, and those who were invited to it.

The Gryffindor Common Room was packed with bodies, almost always touching another and full of sweat. The drinks were flowing, and everyone was having a good time. Who couldn't be? It was the end of the school year, most of them were 7th years, of course they'd be having fun! They'd party until morning, and then they'd be free to do as they pleased. They were mostly adults after all, who doesn't want to go out with a bang?

The Gryffindor tower which was usually boisterous on a quiet day was in an uproar. Load music surrounded the circular room and that was the only tip of the iceberg seeing as how 20 people from different houses were crammed together in this one common room. There were screaming and yelling over the music and people grinding against each other to the beat of the music.

It made Eleanie sick to her stomach just watching them practically have sex on the dance floor. Eleanie was neither invited nor wanted at the party, seeing as she probably hexed, cursed or made fun of half the people here, but she outright refused to leave when asked too. She was a Gryffindor after all.

The set up crew worked around her as she sat on the best plush armchair in the common room; the one near the centerpiece that is the fireplace, and near the large bay windows, where she had a perfect view of the grounds below and the sky above. Even now as the party was in the midst of the festivities the party goers stirred clear from Eleanie, only shooting her with dirty looks on occasion. She did not care on bit as she crossed both her arms and legs defiantly sitting there among the party goers.

Kaden on the other hand was indeed invited, having an invitation slipped under his pillow a week in advance. The party was very hush hush, and he only knew before the party started two other people that were invited. He thought of not going at all to the party seeing as how the party was meant to exclude all others who weren’t in the “in crowd,” but a Hufflepuff talked him into going.

Now, Kaden could be seen on the dance floor dancing with the same attractive Hufflepuff, but once the song ended the passion they did had during the upbeat song fizzled out. They parted ways, she in a fit of giggles, and Kaden with a boyish grin. He returned to the nook where his group of friends gathered. One in between songs suggested to Kaden that he should take the last opportunity to snog her. All Kaden did was take his seat in the midst of the group.

How hard Eleanie tried to ignore her big brother, but still her gaze drifted over towards him as he passed her to return to his fellow friends.

Asher laughed and smiled from his spot on the couch, a drink in his hand and plenty more where that came from, empty and laying on the table next to him. He was joking around with his buddies, and he watched as Kaden came and sat down near him.

"Come on, let him be, we'll all be snogging by the end of the party!"

He smiled and laughed, cheering with the few guys around him. Asher wasn't much of a dancer, but he loved to socialize, and he was even better at it when he had a few drinks in his system. His laughs kept roaring in the air as he made a few more jokes and so did the guys around him.

Somewhere in the mix of dancing girls and guys were Matthew and Skylar, having their own party.
