By the lake (Tag: Alex, OPEN)

Claudia always came by the lake to clear her mind. She found the water calming and a place where she could relax. She thought it would be a good time to take a swim and study while she had the free time. She set her books next to a tree and went to the side of the lake and put her feet it. It was icy cold although it was quite warm outside. It brought a nice feeling. She would probably swim later but for right now she just wanted to feel the sun on her face and relax.

Alex was by the lake, watching the reflections the water made. She loved looking at reflections in water, the way they twisted and changed the appearances of things. It was...magical. Not like magic, but... another kind of magical.

She stooped down and poked the water, almost as if it were a person she was trying to wake up, and watched as the water rippled, and the reflection of her face shook.

Her feet were wet - she had taken off her shoes, and while at first only her toes were touching the water, the splashes she had made had gotten the rest of her feet wet, so that even the bottom of her jeans were soaked. Whoops. She walked back and fell onto her bottom, before stretching out so that she was lying down. She loved being by the water.

Claudia noticed a girl that looked a few years younger than her a little way away from her. She could see that she was enjoying the water too. She called.yelled out to here. "You enjoying the water too." She laughed as she saw birds playing. She breathed in the air and sighed. Fresh air always does you good.

Alex looked over her shoulder and saw an older Gryffindor girl. "I am," she said, nodding. She made her way over to the girl, detouring a little bit to pick up her shoes. "Are you?"
She dropped her shoes onto the ground when she was within normal talking distance away from the girl. "I'm Alex," she said.

She smiled. "Yes I am. Nice to meet you, I'm Claudia." The sun rays were making her feel refreshed and she love how it made her glow afterwards. "So, Have you swam in the lake yet?" She always loved swimming in the lake. Although it was cold it made her feel good.

Alex shook her head. "No - I've never been. I didn't realise many people went," she said, turning away from Claudia and staring out at the water. "Is it nice?" She had heard stories about the lake. About things that were in there. She weren't sure if the stories were true though. Most of the stories about Hogwarts weren't even true.

She sat up. "Yea it's nice but just don't go out far because you don't know what is out there." She wasn't trying to scare her but she just was telling the truth. (sorry so short im tired.)

Alex looked towards the lake, and what had seemed so appealing moments ago now seemed... spooky. She crossed her legs. "Yeah, better not go out too far," she mumbled. She didn't want Claudia to think she was scared, but it was getting late, and she was getting scared.

She looked over at Alex and saw that she looked a little spooked. "Oh, I didn't mean to frighten you." She looked out at the water. One could become frightened if they didn't visit the lake everyday like she did. She smiled a reasuring(sp?) smile at Alex. "There isn't really anything to be afraid of if you stay near the shore." She hoped she could get Alex to not be scared.

Alex smiled, mostly because she didn't want to argue, or admit that she was scared. Changing the topic, she looked at Claudia's face. "Do you come here often then?" she asked, trying to sound light and casual. Once the words came out of her mouth she realised how they could sound like a pick up line, but she chose to ignore this and hoped Claudia wouldn't realise that. Or at least, pretend not to for her sake. It'd be nice if she did.
