“That she is,” the vampire mused thoughtfully, nodding thanks as he stepped through the door she held open. The inn did not appear to be bursting with a bubbling explosion of life; rather, the atmosphere felt quite comfortable, even with the lack of people. At the bar Sorrow motioned for attention, taking the liberty of placing both his and Gail’s order; a cup of chamomile tea and a tankard of butterbeer.

“Twin. We look nothing alike, of course,” he leaned with his back against the bar, pushing the sleeves of his shirt up and crossing pale arms over his chest as he waited for the tea. His eyes went back to Gail, a smile again lingering on his lips. “What about you? Any brothers or sisters?”

"Nope! I'm an only child," she shrugged, "Parents weren't really in a hurry to make a big family. I think they were happy with just me." She grinned, "They were real calm, quiet, folk. You know, aside from my dad being who he was and all."

As the bartender came back with their drinks, she gratefully took the hefty tankard and took a good, healthy gulp. She laughed, "I feel like a kid again." She shook her head, amused by the thought as she crisscrossed her legs on the bar stool. She was used to making herself comfortable no matter where she was.

Sorrow hid a pained smile behind his cup, taking a careful sip of the hot liquid. His own parents had not intended to have any children, though for reasons entirely different. Strange how the gods decided that Lady Rosemary would carry twins.

“They sound wonderful,” he said upon setting the cup back down. “Must have loved you dearly, too.”

Gail smiled as she took a more socially acceptable sip from her butterbeer. When she set it down with a clank, "So how exciting is it to be a Herbology Professor? I never could wrap my head around that class." She rested her cheek in her hand as she looked up at him. Nope, back when she was a student, the only classes she admired were D.A.D.A, CoMC, and Charms. Anything else was beyond her.

"That," the corners of Sorrow's lips pulled into a fond smile. "I find being a professor rather fulfilling. I do not know about excitement; perhaps it is, in a way, rather an exciting position. Not the class itself, but to teach. I try to share my knowledge with the students, and in turn there is plenty that I learn from them."

"I believe working with herbs and plants is a rather delicate skill; it requires both patience and elegance. Naturally, not everyone will find this class interesting. The selected few, however, I try to instruct to the best of my ability," all while talking, Sorrow unconsciously worked his hands in a gentle manner, adding perhaps emphasis to some of his words. At last he lifted his eyes towards Gail again. "What of you? What class did you find most exciting during your time at Hogwarts?"

Gail smiled as she watched him describe his work both with his hands and his words. It was clear he enjoyed what he taught, which was always good. It's never any fun for the students when the teacher's a grump. That was not the case for Sorrow, however, Gail was happy to see. No one should ever turn their career into something they don't even like.

Her quaint smile turned into a cheerful grin as he asked her about her favorite class. She replied the moment he'd asked, "Defense Against the Dark Arts. I also enjoyed Dueling Club!" She chuckled as she gave a confirming nod.

"Action is definitely something I'm all over."

"That does sound rather exciting," Sorrow gave two, three tiny nods. "Have you considered making it a career?" Not that he thought working at Madam Puddifoot's Teashop was not exciting, gods forbid. Perhaps, if anything, there could be events organized; be it at Hogwarts or Hogsmeade. There were always students that never got tired of action. Such were the neutral options; the Ministry, after all, could not be one. Nor were, Sorrow imagined, the great opposing groups. But perhaps Gail would enjoy working with kids; and still have her dose of action and fun while at it.

"Well," the vampire's smile lingered as he gave a shrug. "I do not know."

"How?" She frowned in response to the suggestion. Sure, a career would be nice, seeing as how Gail's life had been on pause ever since she finished at Hogwarts. Career hadn't really been the first thing on her mind, with the new lifestyle she had to adjust to. But now that her life was back on track, maybe a career for long term would be a good thing!
