| He walked in and yawn. His bed was so inviting and he wanted to go to sleep. The broom zoomed around the lights. "Hi" he said laying on his bed as Pikachu came fluttering in. | |

| He went in and saw that his barn owl was gone. 'Probably out hunting' he thought as he laid on his bed not caring that he was on the covers. | |

| He awoke to the sound of trees wrestling in his backyard. Birds were chirping away as usual. The miniaturized broom was zooming around Pikachu the Barn Owl to his annoyance. He found himself under the covers and he was not sure how he got there. His wand laid neatly on his night dresser and he shoes taken off and put next to the bed.
He picked up his wand and fond a note saying,
Dear my Sweat Luke,
I am glad you went to the Leaky Cauldron and not to Hog's Head. You don't know how much you worry me. I came home around two to sleep and check in on you. You were in all your clothes so I help you take them off by a little magic. What did I find. That little black book. You are your mother's child after all. Use it wisely. I am off to investigate one thing or another all day so be good and stay out of trouble.
Love, Amelia
He smiled watching as the birds fluttered into his trees right outside his window/ Luke had a longing to take flight. he called to him like nothing else. He was drawn to take flights. He could not resist the urge any long. In about a second he was no longer a man but an Eagle. A brown Eagle, with brilliant blue eyes. His Owl hooted in shocked but Luke was already off. He was out the window into open grounds.

After a few moments to rub the sleep out of his eyes. He needed to go to the bathroom really bad.

What a naughty cat, her thought was left hanging in the air, the tone of it not at all scolding as the phrasing might have indicated. Misery paused by the door of Xander’s room, crouched down to invite the cat to her. Her open arms were inviting, promising a petting. Misery had her way with cats; like her own feline, Eerie, none could resist the lure of a vampire – as long as it was good-natured, of course. Cats were far too intelligent to be fooled by simple notices. “Oh, my~ you have made our Xander angry, it seems,” the voice was quiet, yet softer than before. “But what a crude boy, cursing like that.”
The curses suddenly stop, hearing the eerie somber voice of Misery. With all the reflexes and instincts that his animagus gave to him, Misery could still, to Luke's surprise, sneak up on him. "Sorry," he muttered, hopping still on one foot, snuffing out the last of the flames. "i just...I don't..." He did not curse on a regular basis. For one he did not much cared for the derogatory terms, and had little use for them, but with the sudden surprise of flames and glass, while he was sleeping once again on his bedroom floor, he allowed himself to let loose.
"um, anyways..." he had little to say about what just happen so he asked instead, "How long have I've been asleep?"

| "Not enough," Misery decided. "It's only midnight."
The cat strode over towards her elegantly and, with the feline in her arms, the vampire stood, straightening up again. "It should be good if you rested more." As promised, the gentle petting came. If Truffles purred, perhaps Misery would allow herself a smile.
"She said to tell you she will be absent for a while," Misery added, the 'she' in her statement being Xander's godmother. "Alexandra also left."

| "Really?" Luke said stifling a yawn. Once again he saw his bed sheets bawled up on the floor. Damn Cat, he thought to himself, not wanting to voice it, seeing as Misery is a cat lover. "Alexandra was here?" he asked, with a genuine surprise look upon his face, not remembering seeing her earlier. "what did she want?" he asked with an air of worry and a hint of suspicion.
As he talked, he focused on clearing the sheets, and making his bed once again.

| Sometimes, Misery wondered why Xander wouldn't voice his thoughts, but let them show on his face. It made her smile, however briefly. The vampire kept her gaze on the sheets as her smile faded; drawing lines along the cat's fur as she spoke. "She was also here before." This time, 'she' was Alexandra. Was there something more the girl needed? Possibly; was it Misery's fault the thought was forgotten? Possibly. So Misery offered the simple statement; Xander had already spoken to Alexandra earlier that night. Somehow, that thought irritated her.
"I'm going out again." A walk would be nice. "Sleep more."

| Alexander could not recall. He closed his eyes for a second, halfway putting one of the corners of the bed sheet back in place, trying to remember Alexandra showing up. Nada. He shrugged, saying, "I don't remember," continuing to make his bed. "Nah. That is okay Misery. I have grocery shopping to do. go do your...errands...and i will try to cook something you can mustered to keep down. Okay?" | |

| Misery's features showed the slightest indication of a frown, but even that dispersed into the naturally absent-minded expression. "Most curious." Naturally, she would have liked to check along the borders of Xander's mind to make sure no damage had been dealt recently, but it simply wasn't the right time to do so.
"It's nearly midnight... and I will not be coming back until morning. Sleep more. Shop later. Thank you, but don't bother cooking anything for me," she gave a small smile; it was pointless to eat anything humanly digestible. For Misery, it was blood and blood only; the strict diet was something she'd simply have to learn to live with.
Crouching down, the vampire put down the cat to let it wander off. She gave a silent goodbye towards her friend as well, then turned soundlessly and walked down the stairs. Her walk now would be human, gentle yet heavy with the absence of supporting shadows. Later, she would shadow-cross, in order to have Sorrow find her. But not yet, not quite yet.

| There was no point arguing with Misery. When she makes up her mind, there is no force great enough to change her mindset. All Luke could was sigh as he flopped back on his bed, his head resting on the head board.
Why are all the women in my life so difficult to deal with?
Even after he made a face as Misery was leaving, he could not help but smile afterwards.

| After a minute, Luke got up, knowing that once again the house was silent, except from the purr of truffles. for the most part, he felt restless, and tense as if he was the prey being stocked by a unknown predator. He did not want to just seat still and do nothing, especially go back to sleep. So in the dark, he slid his way toward the hallway, and found himself leading toward the back porch. The air was cool, and the moon gave enough light to distinguish shapes so he took a walk. | |

She should have probably considered that under the influence of sickness her aim would be off, but then she wasn’t really in the mood to consider anything, she got bored of house arrest and just wanted to visit her friend. At least, in her defence, she wasn’t planning to crash in through his bedroom window, much less while he was asleep. She did and he was and she was just a little bit shocked as she stood surrounded by broken glass at 10 o’clock in the evening.
“You’re not asleep already are you,” she said after a glance around the darkened room and spotted a lump on what she presumed was his bed. Broken glass forgotten she hopped over to the object and plopped onto the soft surface with such familiarity that she might as well have done it every day before then. “Hellooo? So here’s what I’m thinking, no way that crash didn’t wake you up. Well I’m here now and I can see you breathing from under there. The least you could do is say hello back, Luke, honestly.”

| It was a very long day that consisted of two exploding cauldrons, one injured owl and a meeting in the teacher’s lounge because of the lack of classes being held by other professors and that was only a portion of his day. He was thanking any holy spirit and deity that he could think of due to the fact that it was Friday; that was the perfect excuse to sleep in late and not deal with anyone else’s bullshit. It was still early for Luke, around 8:30 in the evening, but he was exhausted from the day’s activities and wanted nothing more than to snuggle up into bed and sleep for hours on end.
Luke did not even wait to get into the bedroom before peeling away his clothes off. There was a trail of loose clothing from the front door to his bedroom on the second floor. Bloodshot and giving no fucks, he did not even had the strength to do his evening ritual, but instead collapse on the bed, hugging his soft pillows for comfort and warmth. He only had enough strength to throw the covers over himself before falling straight to sleep.
*Crash*
“Wha-“ He sat up straight into his bed, heart pumping with adrenaline. He search in the dark for his wand, not realizing it was somewhere forgotten in the trail of loss clothing. When his eyes adjusted thanks to the moonlight, he realize it was just Misery, standing in a throng of broken glass. “Oh.” He said laying back down on his bed, pulling the sheets up and over his head, not remotely interested in what Misery want. For the life of him, he wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep, but it was obvious Misery wasn’t going to let him. That was evident when she jumped on his bed and started to poke him. All he said under the covers was “Go away! And while you’re at it, fix my window.”

“My, my, Mr Brown, how very disagreeable you are,” she teased him, but got up to fix the window as instructed. She fumbled with her wand before recalling a spell that was supposed to repair the damage; not, in fact, blow another hole in the wall right next to it, but somehow she managed to do it anyway. “Well I could have sworn,” she said, coughing as dust rose from the mess she’d made. “I’m not doing this on purpose, you know, but I do think.” Sighing heavily she tried again and slowly the cracks in the stone began to fill in and the glass fell together into a smooth surface again.
She sat back on his bed when she was done, sat for a minute or so in silence, then lay over the covers next to him. “Is there even air under there? You’re going to suffocate like this, I’m sure. Why are you in bed this early, really, don’t tell me you have work tomorrow.”

| He was beginning to ease back into the depths of unconsciousness, until the whole room shook with the load crack of Misery’s wand and the booming of the mini explosion she cast. “Are you seriously trying to kill me or do you like just being a pest?” Luke said forcing himself to sit up right. There was no going back to sleep now even if he was clubbed over the head with a mallet. Misery saw to that. Luke stared at the damage Misery caused. Moon beams filtered into the room through the two large holes that used to be a wall and his window. Now he had a perfect, unobstructed view of the lake and forest below. He would have preferred his wall and window than the breath taking scenery, seeing as how there was a chilly nip in the air. His attention did not linger on the destruction of his property, but on Misery. She seem pale, more pale than usual. Her quick-witted, snarky remarks were as sharp to the point as usual, but Luke could tell something was off. “You’re sick.” It wasn’t a question, it was a matter of fact statement. Misery had this air about her, a regale demeanor that could fool anyone about the state of her health. Well, almost everyone.
Luke did not need to ask any questions, like why she wasn’t home, resting or why did she come here of all places. He did not need that information. Instead, he said, “Here,” sliding off the bed, and tossing the sheets over Misery, forgetting that he was only in pink polka dot boxers.
