PERSONALITY: Gendan McBride is a very aggressive man. He loathes any witch or wizard that isn't pure-blooded as well as those who aid them. Ever since he was young he showed brilliance when it came to potions and transfiguration but his swift anger and ignorance to the past lead to poor skills in Charms and History. The only history he ever paid attention to were the ones that revolved around the atrocities committed by Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the wizard wars. He wants nothing more than to the man he idolizes to be reborn once again from the ashes.

LIKES: Gendan loves violence. If he's ever in a duel or if there's some form of combat, he always tries to be in the thick of it. He loves knowing that which others don't and to be praised by what few people he sees as a master.

DISLIKES: Weakness. Gendan's number one dislike is any form of weakness. He tries to hide his own weaknesses from everyone else and despises those who allow theirs to be seen.

FEARS: As an Irish man who can transform into a wolf, the one thing McBride fears is enclosed spaces. He doesn't mind blending into a crowd or hiding under a large tree if he needs to but to be trapped or in a tunnel where it's hard to breath and his head is enclosed, he cannot handle it.

    Born in Ireland, Gendan eventually went to be a proud Slytherin of Hogwarts. Prior to his studious years though, he lived with no one other than his father Seamus. His mother, Irelia, died giving birth to him and had no other children. Seamus had a knack for causing trouble and was prejudice to everyone. He believed firmly that the pure-bloods were the greater race of wizards and openly supported the Death Eaters, even if he wasn't one himself. Gendan's father was cruel to his son though and would beat him whenever he cried or complained. Gendan wasn't allowed a normal childhood and eventually became as cruel as his father. When Gendan was 9, his father Seamus had an a fall-out with some men from the Ministry for illegal activities and was put in Azkaban. Since he rued his father, Gendan never sought him out and lived in an orphanage until he was old enough to enter Hogwarts.
    For his first few years, Gendan loved Defense Against the Dark Arts. He didn't enjoy the defenses as much as the reason why people needed the defending. After being beaten by his father, he loved the feeling of control over another. When they were allowed to duel and practice their defensive spells, McBride was ruthless to his sparring partner, especially if it were someone from another house. Gendan was consistently sent to detentions but despite all the punishments, he never learned his lesson. He was always mindful of the teachers paying attention to him and despite the obvious aggressiveness, Gendan stayed a student.
    As the years of his OWLs drew near, Gendan spent less time studying DADA and more time focusing on transfiguration and Potions, his two best classes. Gendan read about Animagus during his earlier years and wanted to become one himself, albeit illegally. He would constantly get in trouble for staying up past curfew and for being seen entering/leaving the Forbidden Forest where he practiced the transformation. Because of all the time he spent practicing becoming a Animagus, he passed his OWLs with perfect scores. McBride also loved potions. There was nothing he enjoyed more than brewing. Gendan was so good at it that he actually helped his fellow Slytherins with their potion-making, the only 'good' thing he ever did in Hogwarts. Every so often he'd just give a sample of his own potion to a classmate to hand in however that resulted in them both getting detention for cheating. He still managed to pass the OWLs perfectly in potions as well.
    The only NEWT level classes Gendan got into were for Transfiguration, Potions, and DADA. Gendan failed Astronomy as well as Divination. He only just passed Charms by the skin of his teeth and History because he knew all about the wizard wars. As he learned more curses and counters, he became more ruthless in his duels and often sent many others to the nurse, landing himself in more detentions. By his last two years, Gendan didn't even care who he was against, he tried sending his fellows to the nurses when they dueled. If he was ever defeated, especially by someone he had defeated in the past, then he would explode in anger and lash out, almost causing his expulsion once during his 6th year. His aggressiveness never diminished but after Gendan was almost forced out of Hogwarts he held himself more in-check.
    After leaving Hogwarts, McBride decided to travel. He went out in search of any Death Eater, hoping to be inducted as one of them. He has no love for muggles or the rules of magic and will openly attack anything less than a pure-blood (mythical creatures included). His story continues a few years after he leaves Hogwarts...
