PERSONALITY: Rhiannon is an active girl, and very outgoing. She is protective of those she cares for, and has a bit of an independent streak. She's patient, and when a problem strikes, she tends to be logical and rational rather than hotheaded. Rhiannon prides herself on being able to see both sides in a situation. She does tend to take criticisms to heart more often than she should.

LIKES: Muggle sports, including football, American football, volleyball, gymnastics, running, tennis, etc. Rhiannon is very active, and likes to spend much of her free time out of doors; she doesn't do well cooped up inside. Coffee and peanut butter are her guilty pleasures--her father was an American, and she inherited his preference of Coffee to English tea.

DISLIKES: Rhiannon has a love/hate relationship with heights. She's often enamoured with the vantage points that high places offer and the gorgeous views below, but it heights that one can fall from that scare her most. For example, she would enjoy a nighttime stroll to the Astronomy tower, but does not enjoy riding on a broom. Pink is her least favorite color.

FEARS: Drowning. Rhiannon watched the Muggle film "Titanic" as a child, and as much as she enjoys swimming, is always afraid that something will pull her under.

INSERT ANSWER HERE Rhiannon is a Muggleborn witch. Her father, Josiah Connor, was an American, while her mother, Catherine Jones, was born in Cardiff. Her parents met while Josiah was on vacation in England with some college friends, and it was love at first sight. Her father moved across the Atlantic and later married Catherine.
Growing up, Rhiannon spent most of her time outdoors with her father. He was raised on a farm as a child, and as such, felt it was the only way for a child to really grow and learn responsibility. This meant that Rhiannon was surrounded by chickens, cows, sheep, a few horses, and lots and lots of cats [seriously, what is it with farms and cats?] Josiah was a writer, which meant that he spent a lot of time at home. When they weren't tending to the animals, he'd show his daughter how to shoot, how to build a fire, how to climb a tree--you name it. He shared his love of Muggle sports with Rhiannon as well.

Catherine, ever the traditionalist, felt that a woman's place was inside the home, tending to the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household chores. There was more than one occasion of her struggling to keep her active daughter in the house to learn what she felt were vital tasks. Rhiannon loved her mother dearly, but she was clearly her father's daughter. To appease them both, however, she'd take time to humor her mother and attempt to help her bake an apple pie or knit a stocking hat.

When Rhiannon was 5, her mother gave birth to baby boy, whom they named Wilem. Rhiannon was a natural at being a big sister, and loved Wil unconditionally. They became the best of friends, and there wasn't a day that went by that didn't see the two of them outdoors from sun up to sundown.

The arrival of Rhiannon's Hogwarts letter was a mixed blessing. The Connor's were surprised to learn that they had a witch in the family, although Josiah felt that this could explain Rhiannon's seemingly unnatural ability to clean the soiled hay from the barn so quickly each day. Rhiannon was curious about the prospect of boarding school, but was not happy about the thought of leaving her baby brother behind.

Her first 3 years at Hogwarts were fairly uneventful--for Rhiannon, they were more about "catching up" to the children who grew up in the wizarding world. There was so much she didn't know about, such as how werewolves and unicorns were real, wizarding photos never cease to move, and the entire game of Quiddich, for example. Her mind was culturally blown, so to speak. She found that she was able to perform basic spells at an adequate level, but she seemed to show some strength in her DADA and Transfiguration classes above all. She was able to turn a rat into a teacup on only her 3rd attempt during her 3rd year!
