The snow in the grounds around Eleonora was dazzling, shining bright in the sun. It had proved to be a clear day with only a few scant clouds dotting the blue sky. The air was a slight bit warmer than it had been recently and did not have the harsh bite of wind. She was still bundled in a coat and scarf to keep the chill out and her knee high boots protected her legs from the snow but overall she couldn't be happier with the days conditions. Her students were less likely to skip the outdoors class if the weather was nice like this. With that thought in mind Eleonora turned her gaze to the subject of todays lesson.
A creature whiter than the snow it stood on had it's head held high, appearing to look towards the forest. It's body resembled a horse with one shining horn protruding from its forehead. The unicorn's golden hoofs glittered in the sunlight and against the snow as it calmly shifted its weight around. The hide of the creature was stunning, so pure and majestic. The snow and the clouds seemed to dim in its brilliance and look not white, but gray. Beside it nuzzled a much smaller unicorn, this one a radiant gold. It had no horn yet and appeared to be more nervous than the other and stayed close. A third unicorn could be spotted a little farther away from the two, also hornless but with its golden color shed into a dim white. Its coat blended in better with the snow and could almost disappear into the background.
Eleonora was busy watching the creature enjoy snow and weather, standing close by. She placed a bare hand on the largest unicorn and felt its warm body soft beneath her skin. A smile played on her lips; she had always loved the feel of a unicorns hair. Eleonora used her other hand to push her hair out of her face as she looked towards the castle. Hopefully students would show up soon and be as excited about the unicorns as she was.
