A Nice Break By The Lakeside [Vincent]

Aurelia sat by the lake, admrining its beauty. She had not experienced a break like this today, since she was traveling from class to class without any time to spare. Aurelia looked at her watch. It was 10:00.  Since it was a weekend, she had one more hour left to enjoy the beauty of the mysterious black lake. "Maybe I should leave and spend the rest of my time reading in the library. Or maybe I could hang out with the other Ravenclaws in the common room", she thought. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard footsteps coming towards her.

It was the perfect time to be outside and since Vincent had yet to see the grounds he thought it would be wise to roam. He was glad to be at Hogwarts and not at the all too familiar Beauxbaton Academy. As he made his way to the lake he noticed a girl by the lake. He made his way over to her in steady steps.

"Bonjour, Nice to meet you." He smiled. He knew that she went to hogwarts by her attire and wanted to get aquainted. She looked to be about his age maybe younger. Well he thought if he got to know her he might be able to get her to introduce him to some of her friends. Great way to meet new people.

"Hi.", she said. It was clear that this boy wasn't attending Hogwarts, because he didn't look familiar. She tried as hard as she could to not ruin the conversation. "I'm Aurelia Rosier. What's your name and what school are you attending?"

Eyeing some rocks along the shore Vincent casually picked up a few and started skipping the on the lake. "My name is Vincent Renwick from Beauxbatons Academy." He said in his bragging manner. It had become a routine of his to say things in a bragging manner. After he had thrown his last rock he turned to her and shielded his eyes with his hand from the Sun that was impairing his eyesight.

"Cool! I always admired Beauxbatons." She opened a book and starting reading, looking at Vincent with the corner of her eye. After a while, Aurelia stopped reading and said, "So, what does being at Beauxbatons feel like?"

Caught off guard by Aurelia's question he thought about it. He thought about all the things that see the two schools apart.

"I would think it feels wonderful. Ze food is delicious and but much lighter than ze food served here. While we dine we have wood nymphs who 'serenade' us. At Christmas time ze dining hall is adorned with great, non-melting ice sculptures. It is like a palace."

Vincent never really liked to talk about Beauxbatons but if it gave him a chance to brag he would take the chance. It was by far nothing like Hogwarts. He shuttered. It was slightly cold outside but he brushed the feeling aside.

Vincent's description of Beauxbatons made Aurelia think of home. She thought of the big bedrooms, the house-elf, and her parents. Then, she thought about her fear: losing everything she had. The thought of it made her cold, so she put on her jacket.

Vincent noticed that she had put on her jacket. She must have been cold. He didn't blame her. He was very much cold himself. He wanted to ask her questions that he had asked some other Hogwarts students to get to know of their opinions of Hogwarts was.

"How do you like Hogwarts? Is it nice here?" He was interested at how she felt about Hogwarts and its overall classes/structure.

"Oh, it is wonderful at Hogwarts! The classes seem to go on and on, but every good thing has its cons! There is a lot to explore. The quidditch matches put a lot of strain on the houses. Us Hogwarts students love our Quidditch matches!" Aurelia couldn't remember the last time she spoke  that way about to anyone, since she doesn't talk much.
