| Irene regarded Alexandra for a second. It seemed that she looked up to Irene a little bit, which probably wasn't a good idea haha. Irene could be considered a troublemaker sometimes. Maybe it was because she knew a few things about elemental magic? But that couldn't be the reason, there were so many other things that there were to know, and Irene didn't know practically anything about other elements besides fire. She would love to do more research on Earth and Land magic, and there were lot's of things ALexandra could do to help.
"There are lots of things you could do to help! For example, one of the most important ones would be to test yourself in creative and fun ways to find out a little more about your magic, how strong it is, etc. And by the way, in terms of subjects, I'm taking Arithmancy, Charms, DADA, Transfiguration, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, Herbology, Divination, and Care of Magical Creatures. I love classes, their so fun! I know it might seem like a lot, but it's really not." She hoped that she didn't seem like a nerd of whatever. She liked class, and it was pretty fun, or at least usually. Potions was a bore.

| Alex smiled. "You sound really, smart," she said, cocking her head to one side. "Some would say you belong in Ravenclaw..." she paused, considering. There was something about the older girl that seemed to... radiate courage, strength. There was something in Irene's life that obviously had taken its toll on the girl - anyone who had seen Irene crumple like she had earlier would have to admit that. However, Alex could see that Irene was trying to be strong, and she admired her for that. So maybe the older girl did belong in Gryffindor after all. Shaking her head, she continued. "You belong in Gryffindor though. I can see that."
Alex picked up a pile of books she had compiled while the took had been talking. She would have to check these books out - she was writing an essay for one of her classes and she was determined to do well. "Could you help me?" she said. "Try and learn more about my element, I mean." Alexandra , while talking to the girl, had decided that she wanted to...embrace herself. Embrace, because that's the word that came to mind when talking to Irene. Alex seemed to be very much at one with herself. She knew herself. Alex didn't feel like she did, so... she wanted to be like Irene.

| Irene considered Alexandra for a moment. The girl seemed to think a bit that she belonged in Ravenclaw, and yes, many a person had said so. Then Alexandra had said that no, Irene definitely belonged in Gryffindor. Irene couldn't understand that exactly. She was glad that she sounded smart, but she didn't consider herself courageous, a hero type person, or anything like that. She hoped that Irene wasn't judging her on her earlier breakdown. She'd hoped that that wouldn't happen during the day anymore, but as it turned out it did. That wasn't good, but at least only Alexandra had seen it. And Alexandra seemed to have not dwelled on it and almost completely ignored it, and for that Irene was very grateful.
Irene was glad that someone finally was also interested in elemental magic. Most people, even Ravenclaws for that matter, had turned away because they complained that it was too much of a mystery, too much was guesswork. She supposed that might've been why many Ravenclaws didn't like it, it wasn't all the cold, hard facts that they were used to. Irene would love to help Alexandra learn more about her element, and she told the girl s much, expressing her enthusiasm for the subject as best she could without going overboard. Irene could tell Alexandra was very devoted to her studies by the enormous pile of books she'd comprised within the small time frame during which they'd mostly been talking. Irene was fairly positive she'd show the same enthusiasm for almost every subject, even the ones she didn't enjoy, and Irene admired Alexandra for that. After all, it wasn't something she could do, she would've probably been doodling or such instead of paying attention or taking notes, etc.
(Sorry for the wait, had to practice many musical instruments, annoying but necessary otherwise Mother shall complain lol.)

| Alex grinned. "Well, if you let me go and put these books away in my room, we can meet somewhere else later and start practicing and experimenting?" Alex was more excited than she would let on, and was impatient to get started. She hoped Irene couldn't sense this.
(should we start RP-ing somewhere else? ^.^)
