The Aftermath (Tag: Blaine)

Subject: The Aftermath (Tag: Blaine) Tue Jul 09, 2013 10:33 pm

She knew it was reckless, hanging around so close to the house that she only broke into last night, but she was just dying to see if Ministry grunts were swarming the house- or better, Death Eaters. She just wanted to see the havoc she had ensued, and the aftermath that had resulted from her proud work.

So, she sat on a bench, having been careful to wear a different set of clothes than last night; she was back to her usual gaudy and brightly colored attire, paired with her beloved knee-length boots. As she sat there, eating fruity jellybeans, she was slightly turned away from her view of the house, so she could at least see through her peripheral vision. Her legs were crossed, and her fiery red hair danced in the breeze as she stared at a duck pond. She frowned at the sight of the little things quacked around. She'd started hating the stupid birds since she met that boring assassin.

Blaine sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. He had stayed up the rest the night fixing the broken window and worrying. He commanded the elves to get to work on the downstairs, cleaning and fixing everything and the entire time, they would bug him on where this goes and how should they do this. Why did they even bother with house elves?

He finally got tired of pacing and worrying, then he got tired of sitting and worrying so he paced and worried some more, then that got boring. He sighed, deciding a run would be good. He got the dogs rounded up after getting dressed then grabbed their tennis ball and headed out and down the street to the duck pond.

Carling glanced over, popping another jelly bean into her mouth as she watched the man from the previous night walking near her. He couldn't have recognized her, that wouldn't have been very fair. Besides, he was hardly looking at her. Maybe he was just getting some fresh air.

She noticed he had his rats with him again too, and she looked away as she rolled her eyes, before eating several more jellybeans. Abruptly, a look of disgust shown on her face, as she spit out one of the chewed up jellybeans.

"Stupid booger flavor." She mumbled to herself as she swallowed the rest. The man didn't seem entirely distressed, which was a bit disappointing. She couldn't judge from one look though.

Blaine brought his dogs to yes pond. He let them off their leash. They ran around for a little while then Angel looked to Blaine to throw the ball. He threw it in the pond and she swam out after it. Tea was busy chasing the ducks.

Blaine jogged the trail around the pond before stopping to tie his shoes at a bench. He had noticed the bench was occupied but didn't care what they thought.

Carling gave him a look as she raised an eyebrow at him. She realized she didn't own the bench, but that didn't make her feel any different about his presence. But then she couldn't believe that he was standing right there, and only she knew the secret. It made him look pathetic, and it made her chuckle a little, as she looked out over at the pond, watching his dogs run around.

Blaine looked up at the red-head sitting next to him. He was not in the mood. "Is something funny?"

"No," She quickly shook her head, such a silly question! "Well, yeah. I just remembered a funny joke is all." She gave a shrug, smirking mildly as she did so and popping another few jellybeans in her mouth. She didn't appreciate his tone however; typically, she preferred men would just sit there, smile, and look pretty. Being angry was just so unattractive, or brooding- no, especially brooding. Adeon did that everytime she saw him. Such a bore.

"Sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." She chided calmly, acting like she had commented on the weather. She chuckled again.

Blaine scowled slightly. "You said no way to quickly for it to be just a joke..." He rolled his eyes. "And no, I didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed... I woke up on the side I always wake up on..." He picked Angel's tennis ball up when she brought it to him and threw it.

Carling simply shrugged, taking one more jellybean before closing the bag and stowing it away in her purse. "Do you always interrogate the people you meet? Or are you just discriminating?" She looked him full-on now, that 'innocent' smile never leaving her lips.

Carling shrugged, "Whatever helps you sleep at night." She gave a grin, "Obviously someone's in too bad a mood to know a rhetorical question when you see one."

This wasn't at all as fun as Carling imagined it to be. Then again, she hadn't meant to run into one of the folks of the house. Nor did she think he would be in such a distasteful sense of anger either. Carling had hoped it would at least be little amusing. Now she just felt tired.

Blaine scowled. "Well maybe idiot strangers shouldn't go around interrogating random people!" He stared at her angrily. Last night's events were catching up to him and he was going to take it out on the girl.

"I told you, I wasn't interrogating!" She rose from her chair just as quickly as her voice rose. She faced him with the angry look on her face, "It's not my fault you can't watch your back!"

Blaine couldn't think of anything to say he was so pissed. Everything was flooding onto him and he was really, really angry. He stood up and glared at her. "What is that supposed to mean?"
