PERSONALITY: Aeye has a passion for ancient things, and she has always wished to become a teacher.  She is dedicated to learning and won't stop for anything or anyone, even though she has been in the hospital many times due to pursuing a lead or investigation on or in some ancient culture or writings.  Aeye is prudent and often harsh, and is known as a strict mother who believes in discipline.  She does however understand that students are not machines, and they do make mistakes.  Aeye is serious in relationships and makes a point not to base anything on first impressions and appearance, besides as far as grooming goes.  She considers the world in desperate need of some order and rearranging, and it's her belief that education is one way to promote that.

FEARS: State of nature, the world being ruined, that one day a higher power will deem the earth unfit and set ruin to it

Aeye grew up in Romania with her sisters Nadia, Ivanora, and Taer.  They all were close in age with Nadia and Ivanora being identical twins and all within 4 years.  Taer was the youngest at 19, with the twins at 22.  Unfortunately, they've all lost touch and although Aeye still surely cares for them, they're no longer really a part of her life.  
Aeye's mother and father were devout religious believers, and they taught their children that no matter what religion, everyone knew that something was above them that had created them and would welcome them to the "after life."  Aeye became obsessed with the ancient Egyptians and their hieroglyphics and the development of them.  From scratched lines to simple pictures to more complicated ones.  Many people believed that vampires, wraiths and spirits, werewolves, and the other supernatural still existed.  Aeye's family secret (that they were part of the wizarding world) was kept safely until one night when a group of other citizens attacked, believing they were vampires intending to kill them.  They all split up and fled to different countries, fearing for their lives.
Aeye first heard of Hogwarts at age 10 when her grandmother (with whom she was living) commented that it was about time that Aeye go to school.  She showed Aeye her old stuff from Hogwarts and said that it was still the best school for young wizards and witches these days.  Aeye had tried to reason with her grandmother, but she was immediately packed up and shipped off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  Her first impression was of a tiny shack, but then her eyes pierced the magic folds and saw the magnificent castle hidden away.  She was sorted almost immediately into Slytherin and was sent off to her common room, where she met the Head of House and other students.
She had fairly good grades with 8 OWLs and two Os in Arithmancy and Ancient Runes.  She had completely failed Muggle Studies, as she had no hope in the wonders of modern technology and language.  A NEWT student, she graduated with high marks and went on to get a job teaching Arithmancy at Durmstrang.  However, she still highly preferred ancient artifacts and runes.  Aeye left Durmstrang when she reported a breach in the rules but nothing was done, much to her anger.  She had known forever that Hogwarts was the best out of all three, and decided to try her luck at teaching there.
