Inner Voice (Tag: Kimbree, Madison)

Skylar arrived with Kimbree infront of Professor Reid's office. He was very calm the entire way to her office, but now that he was finally there, he was a bit nervous, not that he'd let it show. He hadn't known how Professor Reid would react to the situation, if she'd accuse Skylar of the spell or if she'd call in Headmistress Naer to deal with the situation. He wasn't even sure if they'd find out that it was Eleanie who had done it, but he had planned on letting them know.

It wasn't that Skylar wanted Eleanie to get in huge trouble. But she needed to learn her lessons, and Skylar didn't want to find Eleanie treating any other girls the way she treated Kimbree, not anymore. It was too much trouble and it caused a lot of tension. Skylar wanted to be courteous to all, but with Eleanie it was hard. She was too unpredictable, and she didn't accept kindness. That was no excuse, in Skylar's book, but Eleanie pushed it too far through the use of her wand.

"After you,"

Skylar held the door open for Kimbree to enter into Professor Reid's office, being the gentleman that he was. He smiled as he did so, a comforting smile, hoping that he could make Kimbree feel as good as she could in this situation.

She smiled at skylar and walked into the office. She had never been into this office before and she didn't know what to expect. It looked pretty normal. She hoped that Professor Reid could help her. She didn't know what she would do if she couldn't talk for another day.

Professor Reid stood by her desk, organizing her paperwork for the new year. She had been sure that, for this school term, her office would remain clean and presentable. Also, she would try not to give another staff member any reason to break down her door again. She gave a wry smile at the thought, when opened and two Gryffindor's stood in its wake. Madison turned to them, and then slid some of her files into a desk drawer before acknowledging them.

"Can I help you two?" When she asked, however, she looked to Skylar, the older of the two. Madison felt if he was, hopefully, the most mature, he would give the most efficient answer.

She looked over at Skylar awaiting him to say something. She was glad that Professor Reid didn't ask her what she needed because she would have a hard time explaining. Professor Reid looked like she was the type of person who could help but she hoped that she wouldn't be mad even though there was a no magic rule.

Skylar took a slight step forward, but not so that he blocked or was completely in front of Kimbree. He simply wanted to accept the gesture that Professor Reid had offered him by looking at him, expecting for Skylar to explain the situation. It would be better, Skylar thought, to be quick about it, that way Kimbree could have the spell taken off of her, and questions could then be asked after the situation was fixed.

"We're sorry to disturb you, Professor, but Kimbree had a langlock spell cast on her, and I'd rather not risk further damage with a counter spell."

Skylar then looked from Professor Reid to Kimbree, giving her an encouraging look. She'd be fine in only a few seconds, and then she could move on from this experience. Skylar could only hope that Kimbree didn't run into Eleanie again. It may have been hard, seeing that they were both Gryffindors, but Skylar could hope. If they had crossed paths any further, the road may become rather bumpy.

So a student had jinxed the poor girl then. The jinx was an easy fix, the student deserving punishment would likely be a different story. Madison hadn't planned to deal with something like this when the year had only started, but it appeared she would have no choice.

"Of course. Very wise of you." She gave a curt nod to Skylar before she gently picked her wand up off her desk, turned to Kimbree, and gave a short flick of her wand, breaking the jinx. She glanced back to Skylar and asked, "Was it another Gryffindor?"

That would be the simplest explanation as to why they came to her office, on the seventh floor; they certainly didn't come from the Great Hall, all the way up here, so it must've been Gryffindor Tower. Sure, it could have been a Ravenclaw that jinxed them in the corridors, near their common room, but Madison doubted it. She made a point to familiarize herself with all Ravenclaw students, and she wouldn't have been happy if one of her own students broke the rules. So, her theory: a Gryffindor jinxed the young girl.

Kimbree breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much. It was another Gryffindor who did this." She was slightly furious but decided it would be best not to get too mad infront of the Professor at this moment.

Skylar nodded, recognizing and acknowledging that Kimbree was, in fact, correct. He wouldn't say who, not at this moment. Skylar was started to calm down his inner fire, and he was seeing that it was not his place to tell Professor Reid of who the culprit was. That was something that would be left to Kimbree, for she was the one who was affected by Eleanie and her wicked ways.

"Yes, another Gryffindor student had cast a spell toward Kimbree, unprovoked."

He felt bad immediately after saying that Eleanie was unprovoked, for it was in a way Skylar's fault. He had created a ruckus that had drawn her attention, and she negatively reacted to the situation. Eleanie was as she was, her personality could not be changed, and Skylar should have thought better. He could have left the situation with Kimbree faster, away from Eleanie, opposed to simply turning their backs and walking only a few feet away. He should have led them out of the Common Room completely.

"And who was this student, Miss Lupin?" Madison turned to her now. Whether or not it was unprovoked would have to wait until later. Professor Reid never took a student for their word wholeheartedly, not until she'd made her own judgment. Once she knew for sure, she would take the proper steps to make sure something like this didn't happen again.

Kimbree hesitated. She knew she wanted Eleanie to get in trouble but then again she didn't. She knew that if that had happened to her she would have told on her quick if she was that kind of person. She sighed. "Eleanie Carr, did the jinx on me." She felt bad. She hoped that Eleanie would get mad at her and come after her.

Skylar nodded, only to confirm once more that what Kimbree was saying was true. The thought did cross his mind that he could be potentially losing house points because of this situation, though that would not be his fault, but Eleanie's. Either way, they were only house points. They could be easily gained back if needed, and even so, his foremost concern was Kimbree's health.

"Thank you, Professor, for helping Kimbree. I greatly appreciate your kindness."

He knew that it wasn't necessarily kindness, but part of Professor Reid's job. Either way, she went about it nicely, and was seemingly trying to solve the situation at hand.

Kimbree smiled. "Thanks again Professor." She turned to leave with skylar. "I know you think it was your fault but it wasn't. It was my fault." She smiled at him. "Thank you for helping me too. It was very kind of you." She gave him a friendly hug. "I hope we can be friends. See ya around." And with that she walked down the hall to the Gryffindor tower.

Professor Reid gave the both of them a curt nod before returning to her paperwork. When she had the chance, she would go and speak with Miss Carr herself. For now, she was focused on clearing her desk.
