Entering the staffroom, Eirina pulled out her wand and organized the desks so that they would now be lined up, two desks pushed together length wise, and two desks pushed together width wise, creating one long rectangle. She had the chairs pull on then, on either side of the tables, and one at the head of the table, with the fireplace running behind it. It was in this seat that Eirina sat down, pulling out a stack of paperwork.

It was time for the first staff meeting of the school year, and Eirina had a lot of things to go over.

Eleonora rushed across the grounds, her scarf piled thick around her neck. Her hands were freezing, cheeks rosy with cold. The days were getting chiller as the year progressed and the time she spent out doors was becoming less tolerable. She had been close to the edge of the forest, tending to some creatures when she suddenly remembered an owl she had received the previous day. There was to be a staff meeting today, attendance mandatory. Eleonora had panicked, unsure of how much time had passed since she had left the castle. She dropped what she had been doing and headed straight for the staff room, hoping she wasn't late.

As she entered the room the feeling in her fingers returned, heat tingling up her arms. She looked around, noticing the only other person there was the Headmistress. She wasn't late after all, but early. Eleonora sighed, wishing she had thought to check the time before and gone to wash up. She was a bit dirty, mud caked to her boots and splattered around her legs. The red of her cheeks deepened as she realized what a sight she probably made. Flustered and embarrassed, Eleonora took a seat at the desks pushed together and made hesitant eye contact with Naer.

"Sorry about my appearance, Headmistress. I was tending to the thestrals and lost track of time."

(Rping based off the rewrite of Maddy's character xD I'll try to finish that rewrite soon <3)

Madison was silent upon her entrance into the staffroom, and any form of emotion was vacant from her face as she acknowledged both Professor Valenta and Headmistress Naer with a curt nod and a, "Good afternoon." She thought nothing of Eleonora's appearance, seeing as Eleonora was the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor.

Madison herself was draped in comfortable, yet work appropriate attire. A gray, single-button jacket (she had about 50 different shades in her wardrobe), and matching slacks. Her fashion sense was simple and repetitive, but it made shopping that much quicker. The only color variation between her suits were the color of blouse she wore underneath her jacket. Today, it was a navy blue.

She took the empty seat nearest to the Headmistress, and glanced up at the clock. It may have been early, but certainly not by far. Madison hoped the remaining staff members wouldn't be long. No one should have been late on the first meeting of the year. The first meeting was typically the longest, Madison had learned over the years.

Eirina sat down in her chair, her papers stacked in front of her. She looked around at all of the professors with a smile. Eleonora, one of her new staff members, was early, and she greatly appreciated that. She had worried about her appearance, but Eirina was more worried that she made it to the meeting.

"No worries, Professor Valenta, you're just fine."

She had given it a few more minutes before she would begin. She had a lot of business to go over.

"Hello, everyone, and welcome. I'd like to start this meeting as soon as possible, because we have many, many things to go over, so I'll also be talking fast."

She shuffled through her papers and pulled out two, sitting them side by side. They looked just like any other paper, but she let them sit where they were. Most probably couldn't read them, but it didn't matter. Eirina was going to read them allowed anyway.

"First, I'd like to start off with some of the more important matters. Eleonora Valenta has recently joined our staff as our Care of Magical Creatures professor. She has exceeded all expectations, and has proven herself worthy, so I'd like to appoint Professor Valenta to Head of the Hufflepuff house, if she so chooses to accept," Eirina gave little pause before continuing on, "And Madison Reid, this one revolves around you. You've started off strong this year and have been dedicated to this school for many years. I'm in need of a deputy Headmistress, and so, as a result, I will be appointing you to that duty. I have faith in your abilities, both of your abilities."

Unlike Eleonora, Eirina didn't give Madison a choice as to whether she accepted this position or not. She simply read through everything matter of factly, continue on with her speeches as if nothing of importance had just happened.

Austen came later than expected to the Professor’s meeting. Once again in his casual clothing, he adorn this time glow in the dark neon shorts, short sleeve white shirt, accompany by his usual eyewear which changed from red to blue on a whim. Eirina was already there, with two of her professors. He grin at them both, like a child happily eating a lollipop. “Pardon the interruption, Eirina,” said Austen, still not being formal even to his boss. He seemed more like a kid as he hopped back and forth on his ball of his feet, debating on which lovely professor to sit by. He chose the one with the curls and that had the innocent smile dancing across her lips. He plopped down on the chair, and automatically leaned back in it, until only two of four legs were touching the ground.

When Eirina ran through the initial agenda of appointed Eleanora to Hufflepuff Head of House, and Madison to Deputy Headmistress, he gave a hoot and a holler each time as if he was the one receiving the award.

Waiting patiently for the meeting to start, Eleonora was staring dreamily off into space. Her mind was wandering across the fields and lake, soaring to a birds eye view of the grounds. She was pulled out of her day dreams as another professor entered the room, this one unfamiliar to her. She felt relief rush over her as she took in his colorful shorts and attire; she was no longer the least unprofessional looking one there. Her eyes followed him as he took a seat near her, leaning back in his chair. Eleonora was struck with the desire to reach out and right his chair. She was worried he would tip too far back, fall and hurt himself. She nervously bit her lip as she watched the two legs hover in the air.

Headmistress Naer began to speak and Eleonora turned to face her. She was surprised when her name was mentioned, and even more so when she was offered the Head of Hufflepuff office. She felt a rosy blush creep up her cheeks as eyes turned to her. She couldn't decline the offer, of course. Eleonora had always had a very difficult time saying no to nearly everything. She gave a small nod of her head in acceptance, her red hair falling closer to her face in an attempt to mask her rising color.

She was relieved when Naer continued on, bringing the attention to Madison, whom she had met previously. Eleonora listened to the other announcements, her fingers thoughtlessly twirling her hair as she calmed her thoughts again.

Madison's gaze followed the man as he entered and sat down, proving, as expected from the way he dressed, that he was indeed incredibly distracting and irritating for a meeting such as this. She said nothing of it however, as she drew her attention back to Eirina and listened to her announcements. At first, when Eirina announced her as the new deputy Headmistress, Madison thought she had imagined it, as Eirina had acknowledged it so nonchalantly, but Austen's explicit jeering showed otherwise.

She didn't believe this arrangement was happily made, considering Eirina's behavior, and what Madison knew about her after working here for so long. Eirina struck her as the sort of person who took on her duties solely on her own strength- that had to be the reason it had taken Eirina so long to appoint a deputy in the first place. It was the only explanation Madison could think of. Though Madison had been given a higher position, she didn't feel she had quite earned it yet. She would gladly take on the extra work if it was needed, but Eirina wasn't likely to give Madison any extra responsibilities right away, aside from the way she needed to present herself.

In the end, she merely nodded in compliance, and provided Eleonora with a small smile, Madison's way of saying congratulations. Madison would be sure to keep an open schedule for the next few weeks, or at least attempt to do so, should Eirina have anything she needed to discuss at a later date.

Jai came barreling down the Grand Staircase, taking the steps two at a time. He stopped short of the room, straightened his robes and hair, and slipped into the room, smiling his apology at the headmistress. Taking up his usual spot in the back of the room, just as the announcement of the Deputy Headmistress, politely clapping with the rest.

"Moving along..."

Eirina rambled on and on for hours. She went over classes and how they have to be well structured. She went over how the professors need to try to be flexible in being both authority figures but also someone the students could come to and look up to. She went over that all heads of houses, as a reminder, she get to know each and every one of their students. Seventh years they should be sure to help them with their after Hogwarts plans, including sending them to a specific professor if they feel that their specialties would better suit advising the children. On and on and on...until finally.

"You're all dismissed. If you have any question please ask now, if not, you may leave. Thank you for your attendance, and good luck. Any problems and you know where to find me."
