A chance meeting (tag Timothy)

Jai walked down the hall, going toward the music room. He shuffled sheafs of paper in his hand, and looked at them, not paying attention to where he was going.

Timothy had been wandering when he spotted who he thought was the music professor, distracted by the papers held haphazardly in his hand.
"Sir!" He jogged up to the man. "Might you happen to be the music professor?" He couldn't recall the name of the professor, having never been to a music class.

"hmm?" he said, looking up. "oh, yes, I am." he looked at the student, not recognizing him. "Do I know you?"
