Snow. So gentle and white. So cold and ugly. Misery had thought little else could surprise her these days; she rarely liked to admit she was in the wrong and this – was not one of those times. It would have been easy to blame Sorrow for her predicament, but she couldn't; it was not his fault, not really. It certainly worked in his favour, sure, but- well, Misery wasn't sure if she completely hated the idea, either. The vampire lifted her head, smiling towards the clouded night sky. It was not a blissful smile, per say, but rather one holding a mixture of different emotions; both glee and regret, calm and restlessness. Misery blinked, lowered her head and continued her graceful walk down the street. If she thought about it properly, the very thought of Zillah wanting her was absurd. Of all clans and of all female vampires close to their age, why would it be Misery? The Graces held a high position among the clans, sure, but Zillah was a Prince. He needn’t have bothered thinking about the position of his future mate; whatever his choice, he would be held in high respect. In fact, asking for Misery who had been once cast out of her clan! That was pure madness, surely. That would have been the problem to face, if Misery accepted the proposal. And what a proposal it had been! A formal letter to request audience – with Lord Altair, no less, prior to approaching Misery herself. It seemed the matter was already decided, before Misery got so much as a reminder on who exactly this Zillah is.“Do you not remember Zillah?“ Sorrow had seemed surprised, nearly on the verge of offended. “That will not do. We met him during the Festival of the Undead. That may well have been years ago, but surely you have heard the news of his becoming a Prince.”Misery hadn’t. After leaving Xander’s, she’d been cast back into the loop, her tutors back and ready for something new. Something exquisite. The teachings Sorrow got. The information he knew, but could not share. Misery was going up for something bigger.Well, now she knew what it was.

| *Aries after a few weeks dealing with Delano Grace, let him "borrow" a few of her minions, those Armor Soldiers who guards the grounds and castle of Durmstrang. Even though Delano could command them to do an errand, as such they were doing at this very moment, ultimately they still was Aries under her command. In the depths of the black smoke gathering at the entrance to the Home of the Graces out came three fully garbed soldiers, two with weapons drawn, one an axe, the other with a spear. The third, in the center, carried in his hands a letter and a wrapped package for one Misery Grace.* | |

| Misery froze in step at the sudden appearance of armoured soldiers. Aries' guard was all too familiar, bringing terror and memories Misery had been trying hard to forget. Once she found herself able to move again, Misery's first instinct was to run; she half-stepped back into the shadow, noticing something odd about the soldiers. Firstly, they were not charging at her. They made no attempt to attack, despite their tight hold of the weapons. Their stances seemed more protective than hostile.
Upon closer inspection, Misery noticed the box the solider in the middle was holding. Something about it felt familiar, though Misery could have no knowledge of what it was. Not from this distance.
Cautiously, the vampire stepped forward. She inched toward the soldiers, who in return stood still as stone. Once she caught sight of her name on the letter that topped the box, she was all the more intrigued. Yet she would not step too close. Not quite yet.

| *They made no attempts to pursue their duties nor give the child space so she could feel more comfortable, safe. All three Armour Soldiers seem as if they were lifeless puppets, harmless and made just to intimidate, but in fact if sense of a threat to themselves, or their mistress they come to life ready to strike down their foes. But at that moment they were dormented, their gaze, if they had one, on Misery.* | |

| Taking a deep breath, Misery abandoned her hold of the shadow completely. She'd have to trust herself to be able to shadow-cross swiftly if needed. Once close enough to the soldiers, Misery was unsure how to proceed. Should she take the box and the letter herself or hold her hands open to be handed the strange gifts? Shifting nervously in spot, the vampire picked up the letter first. Indeed, it had no other mark than the inked 'Misery'.
The rough, yet elegant handwriting had to be Delano's. Inspecting it this close, Misery had no doubt in mind about it. She opened the letter to find a short message, dotted in that same handwriting. More surprising was the vampire alphabet; just one look at it made Misery relax, if slightly. No doubt Delano knew it would, too.
Please do not seek me. You would not find me if you searched. You would not know me if you found me.
Thought you might want this back.
“’This’ is…?” Misery lifted her eyes toward the box, now reaching quietly for it as well. Opening it, she thought she might cry. “Oh–”

| *With the packages delivered, they waited long enough for a response before taking a step back into the realm of darkness, using the bleak smoke as a portal. They were engulfed from head to toe, until nothing could be seen of them, just the smoke. As the smoke dissipates they were no where to be found.*
(I left it open for you to give a respond or not.)
