| Dein smirked with the utmost amusement as Lacetta had commented on his attire. He wasn't entirely surprised by the reaction, but all the same, seeing it for himself was much more amusing than he had imagined.
"Not quite was gents are looking for in a compliment, but I shall take it Miss Detenae. Thank you." He said with a curt nod and a smile, "And you certainly look like you belong in a setting such as this." He glanced around at the other attendees, before returning his attention to Lacetta, "Do you enjoy these sorts of fancy gatherings?"

| A slight blush crossed Lacetta's face, mostly from her embarrassment. She hadn't thought what she had said, nor many things that she speaks, through. Cute was possibly not quite the word that Dein would have been looking for, or any other man she'd come across. She'd have to try to remember to take that off the list of her compliments at such an event as this.
Lacetta would have rather felt apart, then one with the setting she was with. Everything and everyone surely was beautiful, though Lacetta held diversity and individuality to quite the height. She had a bit of regret, as she fell into the patterns of those around her and the influence of what's common. Though she'd rather put herself past it, for lingering on such a topic will bring nothing wonderful to her now.
"I've never been to one, so I couldn't judge quite yet, though it seems quite nice! I enjoy volunteering and helping out the Headmistresses when I can, which is more often then not, and I've yet to say not."

| Theo never really owned a gown. Dresses, sure. Skirts, fine. But a gown? She was sure she would trip over the damn thing at the first step. But gowns were one thing and formal wear was quite the other. Theo decided she could look nice in a dress and not feel bad about it. Ah, but she also never made herself look nice for anything. She never needed to, running around Hogwarts in the school uniform or in casual wear. Something comfortable that she wouldn't mind spilling flobberworm mucus on. Only thing that really ever mattered was that her hair stayed soft and pink.
So when she came in, all dolled up and smelling of roses, Theo just didn't feel like... Theo. It was odd and frightening and almost nice for a change. She felt calmer, not bubbling with excitement, but intrigued by the event. She felt grown up, lips free of the Cheshire grin, wearing only a pleasant smile.
Was she late? Theo didn't think so, not as late as she usually was. She entered the reception hall, silently wondering at the marvelous architecture and design. The beauty of the place certainly invited one in. But if Theo felt out of place, she did her best not to show it.

| "I see." Dein replied. "Well perhaps I shall see you later this evening. I think I'm going to take a look around." With a curt nod of farewell, Dein removed himself from the conversation, intending to look around just as he had said. | |

| With a soft smile on her face, Lacetta watched as Dein dispersed into the distance, off to take a look around. She had been left as she was, in the middle of the floor to look around at all the glittering and glowing dresses of the women around her. They were truly beautiful, just as she became so easily distracted and immersed in the building itself, with beautiful walls that stretched to a gorgeous ceiling, and even the smooth floor below her feet. It all flowed so wonderfully, and she had felt so captivated by everything beautiful.
Lacetta had sought to bring herself closer to the side of the room, for she had been in step through her observations, and often disturbed a few guests through her absentminded bumping into them. She'd received a few strange looks, and even a few glares that she paid little mind to, as she had done so. But now, her focus risen, she made her way to the walls of the room, intent to bother no one any longer.
Absentmindedly, Lacetta lifted a leg behind her, playing with her heels that made her feel too tall, and too clumsy.

| Choi came back ten minutes with a disgruntle look on his face for being lectured about proper etiquette. Only Secretary Woo had the authority and the audacity to point out Choi's faults, and make him feel like a child once more. But as he open the door, and as per usual, once he came in a group of giggling girls swarmed him like vampiric bats wanting to get his attention. Choi put up a false smile but just ignored them. All of them were far to immature and petty for Choi liking, and they were of course for to young for his taste.
As he scan the Ball few guess was lingering on the Dance floor, and of those few fewer were actually dancing. Most of his guess, he thought, were whorishly dressed with an over exuberant of face make up and the low cut skimpy dresses. On the other side of the spectrum, Children with poorly made imitations of a dress to try and fit in the formal occasions. None appeal to him as the group of girls pressed their bodies against his to get his attention.
He was about to leave until his eyes caught a women, his age, lifting her leg to play with her heel. The woman had withdrawn look of innocent wonder about herself magnified by her simplistic conservative dress she wore. Without a word, he crossed the dance floor, his unwelcome entourage followed. "Mad-damn," said Choi his french was worse than his English. He gave a gracious bow to the lady, before continuing on now in English. "I wourd rike to say you are the most beautifur woman at the Ball tonight." Choi offered out his white gloved hand. "Wourd you care to dance?"
Most of the other girls surrounding them were utterly speechless. Some even giving dirty looks at Lacetta as if she did something wrong. But Choi ignored them, and said, "I wirl not take no for an answer."

| Her attention had been called to an unfamiliar person, or so in personal acquaintance, she hadn't known the man. However, he was more then notably Choi Seung Pyo, having been hosting the event in which she was intending, the man who had greeted the Headmistress and Hogwarts as a whole. Her face had softened at his compliment, all too kind of him to say such a thing that she believed, surely was a bit of a falsehood. The women, who even now surrounded Choi, were quite beautiful, far more then she ever viewed herself. Though still, the compliment made her cheeks turn pink.
"You're far too kind!"
An honest smile, she gave to Choi, however she had noticed the girls around him more so in their features then she had before. They seemed rather unhappy, and she was a bit worried as to how to handle such a thing. All that she could think was to apologize, for she hadn't wanted to upset any one person here, let alone such a large group.
"I'd be more then happy to dance, though I'd rather not upset anyone so greatly..."

| After grabbing some soda pop from one of the lovely waitresses, Dein found a spot at the other end of the hall, where he could listen in on a few adults discussing the current news. Unfortunately it wasn't anything more than what the Daily Prophet was already going on about.
After a sip of his soda, he looked around the room for another possible interesting conversation. But instead, his attention was caught by a large crowd of girls back on the opposite side of the hall. Curious, he walked down the way a few feet for a better view. And when he spotted who was in the center of the crowd, he was certainly surprised.
Some git found it necessary to approach Hogwart's head nurse. Judging by his posse, Dein would say the prick had plenty more choices than Lacetta. No doubt he was asking her to dance, and no doubt Lacetta would gladly oblige. Dein took another sip of his drink as he continued observing at his distance.

| All Choi needed to hear was "I'd be more then happy to dance-" before he gracefully took the young lady's hand, and proceeded to the dance floor. His entourage parted like the red sea, most of thme disgruntle, whispering to each other, watching their dream man hand in hand with some commoner. Once in the center of the dance floor, he clicked his fingers together and instantaneously a spot light was on both Lacetta and Choi. A moment later music he requested started to play. Owl City - EnchantedWith that, he turn to his beautiful maiden, placing one hand at the small of her back, the other still intertwined with Lacetta's fingers. Choi was not timid at all to close the distance between them as they started to slowly dance across the dance floor. | |

| Lucien raised his eyebrows, some of the women and men were wearing clothes of Eugene's make. Some minuscule spark of pride fluttered in his heart for his adoptive father. He himself wore clothes of Eugene's brand but it was personally tailored. He felt comfortable in it, no longer stifled by the Hogwarts Robes.
He finally raised his glass to his lips, eyeing a girl who was vigorously fluttering her eyes at him. It was a surprise her lashes still remained attached he smirked into his glass as the thought crossed his mind.
He started to make his way towards her, his oddly colored eyes attached to her green ones. Her looks were of a minimal average yet it didn't deter him. Gracefully bowing with one hand on his chest, Lucien greeted her. This was a social afterall...

| Shock had risen within Lacetta as she was quickly pulled away, into a dance with a stranger, so close to her skin. Though she couldn't be rude, and he was too kind to have meant any ill harm. She smiled and danced with Choi, though she was a bit out of tune as she stumbled over her own feet, blushing from embarrassment. Surely she was a bit of a joke, to the public if not Choi himself. He was graceful, with a kind face and a gentle hand, and she was quite the opposite.
The music played and she laughed a little at the lyrics. It was an odd song, odd to be playing at this time and for this dance. Her smile continued as the beat picked up, the sound so unfamiliar to her. Had this been, perhaps, muggle music? She hadn't listened to much music, muggle or wizard, though she was sure there was a distinct difference between the two.
"This is quite a song, I've never heard anything like it much before!"

| There wasn't really much room to ignore Lacetta and her new dance partner, as he dragged her out into the center of the room, and a spotlight centered in on them somewhat over dramatically.
As Lacetta began to stumble over her feet, Dein clenched his jaw, and the color in his face had been all but sapped. Was the git trying to humiliate her? He appeared to be treating her like a rag doll. Anyone else and Dein wouldn't give a damn. But for Naer's prize nurse to be subjected to such torture, in front of the entire group of attendee's- it was ridiculous.
As another waiter passed by him, Dein threw his glass of soda onto the waiter's serving plate, not caring what it was. Then, deciding he would not take any more of this, he shoved his hands into his pockets and sulked into the next room.

| Medea relaxed as more people flooded the room. Despite her dislike of crowds it was far better than her fear of Veelas.
She watched Mr Choi's retreating back signalling to her that the conversation had ended to her relief.
"So Mrs Attor, will Mr Attor be accompanying you tonight?" She asked, feigning a formal tone with a sparkle in her purple eyes.

| Once she'd found herself a nice glass of wine, didn't matter what type, she had contented herself with standing off to the side and keeping track of what students were still in the Reception Hall. A few must have scuttled off elsewhere's, because the number of heads she counted from her viewpoint were a bit off. Ah well.
She took a sip of her wine, and watched as the ball's host took Lacetta onto the dance floor. Poor girl didn't appear to be much of a dancer. Not much could be done about that. Perhaps it was even slightly amusing. Course it didn't help Madison feel any better. She'd rather be a poor dancer than an old bat. With a sigh, she finished her glass with one more swig.

| Choi had eyes only for Lacetta. Never once did they strayed as Lacetta and himself owned the dance floor. Even though Lacetta had trample her heel on his foot more than once, he smiled graciously at her. He would not let this evening be spoiled by a sore foot, when he was holding such a beautiful woman. "I am grad you rike it," Choi said as the song came to an end. The spot lighted dimmed, and most of his guess went back to socializing with the other students.
For a moment longer he held onto her, before letting her go. His charms did not disappeared as the music switch to a new song, with a more up beat tempo. Not at all. Choi unpinned the white rose off his jacket, and present it to Lacetta. "To my enchantress, I present this white rose," Choi said in Korean, handing over the white rose, knowing his place not to pin it on for her.

| Theo wandered around, drawn in by the lights and the music. She kept her eyes open for a familiar face but, though she spotted some, she hadn't quite the courage to approach them. Lacetta seemed busy, she wouldn't dare speak to the professors she'd given trouble with her pranks and the couple of her colleagues, she'd never actually been properly acquainted with. Again, through pranks maybe. But that was never a proper way to make friends, now was it?
Perhaps now was the time. So how did someone like Theo, most friendly at the best of times, loose her cool in a crowd of people? It seemed ridiculous, at the very least. Theo found a way to fix it.
The music was nice and she wanted to dance. So she did. Didn't need a partner to let herself go with the flow of music, not really. Pink hair falling in curls over her bare shoulders, Theo indeed danced with herself. And she loved every second of it.

| As the music and the lights had died down, Lacetta could only feel a bit of relief. She had been shocked by the sudden encounter and occurrence, it still hadn't quite hit her all that happened. Surely once she was out of sight, she'd take off her shoes, for under her dress it wouldn't be noticable that she hadn't any shoes on, and with her slight natural height, many wouldn't take any notice. As Choi took the rose from his jacket, Lacetta smiled, sweetly and graciously as he offered it in her direction.
"Thank you." | |

| Gabe was left alone, Seb left to catch a whiff of fresh air-The poor boy was already close to retching from two glasses of wine.
He never saw the need for going to such social gatherings yet his boss lectured him on the importance of the Head Auror attending. The Ministry had to keep up appearances perhaps?. Appearances or not, he disliked staying around whilst mounds of paperwork were to be completed. One dance, a meet and greet would be enough to appease his boss.
Once more he saw the familiar face that was eyeing a dancing couple. "Ms Reid, delighted to see you again. Babysitting the kids?" He nodded towards the bunch of children that remained. His smile was wooden towards the woman, the grudge clearly had not fully dissolved yet.

| Madison's grip tightened on her glass as she had the misfortune of hearing the voice of none other than the Head of Aurors. She turned her head to gaze upon him with a false smile, "Perhaps. Not here to try and cart me off again are you?" she already knew the answer to that, however. They couldn't just simply spoil the party now could they? On top of that, he had nothing on her, and had no power over her. Still, he was a reminder that the Ministry was just lurking around the corner. Her nervousness showed too, as she looked away from him, and at the others around them, wondering how many other Ministry representatives were present. She felt incredibly outnumbered and cornered. | |

| Avileene had been nearly clinging to the walls of the hall, for she hadn't wanted any interaction with those around her. There were too many people. Too very many people, and so close they all were, too! Avileene would have much rather stayed home, to herself and in the quiet. She paused now...had she just called Hogwarts home? Surely it was an accident. Her home was with mother and father, back under the ministry's wing and care. But far away from those who cut her hair. Timidly, she began to hold what she could in her hand.
Around the room, Avileene had scanned through the crowds, and fell upon a familiar face. There was a man, and she knew she'd seen him before. In the Ministry. She'd never spoken with him, and hadn't even known his name. But she knew his face.
Quickly, she hid herself behind a marble poll, having not wanted to be seen. She wasn't suppose to acknowledge or speak of her life at the Ministry. It was a secret.

At that very moment a white bright flashed happen as if lightning had struck. It was not the spot light, but a photographer, capturing their special moment together. At once the few guards station about seized him by the arms, dragging him off and out of the building. "Mianhamnida," Choi said apologetically, knowing full well where that photo will be sent.

She teased with a mischievous giggle. Her walk over was a bit clumsy though, due to the obnoxious heels she had been forced to wear. Apparently converse were completely out of the question for such an event. A shame too, Emma would have enjoyed dancing otherwise.
