Childhood:
Korey grew up in a middle class family. His Muggle father ran a small local newspaper and his Wizarding mother stayed at home with him and his little sister. He grew up with magic in the house, as his parents lived in the middle of nowhere. His first vestment of magical ability came when he stole his mother's wand when he was five years old. he was waving it around when it sparked. his sister saw it happen, well, actually the sparks hit her and lit her shirt on fire. Fortunately his mother was nearby and swooped in. that shook him up kind of bad. his mother was kind enough to not tell his father, and they never spoke of the incident again. his father was usually busy with work, but always made time for his son. his sister was a quiet girl, and kind of shy around him after the fire incident. On his eleventh birthday, he received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts and was rather excited to go, but sad to leave his mother, father, and sister behind.
