Lamia was walking through the trees, her torn t-shirt and skinnies were the only thing that protected her from the cold. Her slender fingers ran along the tree bark.
So many memories...But she couldn't remember any of them, or more like she chose not to. They were memories that would bring her to shame, the reason why she had to 'dispose' of her parents.
Lena was following, a few metres behind, she was dressed in a white trench coat, she almost blended in with the snow, with her white hair too. However she had no intention of running away...yet.
It was strange seeing the Bitch with a calm expression, Lena could almost detect a hint of sadness in the older woman's eyes but she just brushed it away deciding that it probably was an illusion from the snow. Now was her chance...Lena silently broke away, slipping into the gap between the closest trees, towards the way that they came.
Her hopes of freedom were short lived as she felt a sharp pain run up her neck. It made her body tremble, feeling like it was suffering under thousands of syringes. Her legs gave way and she fell, landing back first into the snow.
"Such a foolish child" Lamia said softly, her breath in wispy coils of vapour. Her boot nudged Lena's trembling head to the side as she tutted. "Why would i ever let you go that easily?"she said softly.
It had to be the necklace...Lena's fingers grasped the emerald and pulled with all her might, however the chains were still interlocked. It was fastened by magic. She looked up, the Bitch's eyes were emotionless once more...
Lamia smiled sweetly and walked off towards the house, "You can stay out here all you want" the words but you'll never escape were left unsaid.
Lena lay in the snow, trembling feeling that her last hope of escape was vanquished, blown out just like that.
