The core of her wand was a family heir-loom from her mother's side that they especially asked Olivander to include if possible. Fortunately, he agreed.
Patronous: Dragon. Specialty:: Is naturally talented at Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Transfiguration but works hard at all the subjects she likes and/or finds important. Weakness:: Astronomy and Divinations, suffers from a lack of confidence in potions even though she isn’t a bad potioneer. Characteristics:PERSONALITY: She is as the Greeks would put it, Phlegmatic. Rather than an outright confrontation, Alexandra prefers to solve issues quietly, efficiently and quickly. But sometimes she overlooks the emotional aspects of her life in favor of logic which isolates her from people she counts as acquaintances rather than friends. But her few friends and sometimes acquaintances to whom she sees no ill in speaking to, she does show her occasionally humorous side. It is only to those she trusts intimately that she even begins to reveal her secrets. LIKES: Common Sense, Intelligence, Wit, Eccentric people, Honesty and Strategy. DISLIKES: Over-emotional people, “Act first, Think later”, blatant stupidity, people who are the cause of the phrase “History repeats itself”, those who enjoy the pain of others. FEARS: During her Hogwarts years it was Dementors, but as the Order becomes a more intregal part of her life, her greatest fear is failing the people who trust & rely on her - specifically in the Order. Mother, Selena –
Described to have flowing black hair and dark green eyes. Rather pale but not fragile looking with refined features. The expression most often seen on her face was a look of mock shock with some amusement filtering through her eyes. 5"6 feet tall.
Her mother graduated a Slytherin and was working at St. Mungo’s as a Healer before she died; her specialty is healing results of Dark Magic. Despite being a pure-blood and Slytherin, she respected muggles as much as she did wizards. The only slytherin-esque characteristic of hers was her way of holding grudges long after someone had hurt her/someone she cared for, often resulting in nasty accidents happening to those people. One of her hobbies was Muggle Studies which was why the whole Leoine family knows at least the basics in muggle technology. Was an undercover Order member until death.
Father, Gregory –
Described to have ash brown hair along with warm grey eyes. Tanned naturally, lightly bearded with smile wrinkles in the corners of his eyes. Often seen with a mischievous smile. 6"0 feet tall.
Her father ended his time as a Gryffindor (his whole family were Gryffindors – thus the surname “Leoine”) and worked as head of security at Gringotts Wizarding Bank, but being one of the few non-goblin workers, he was regarded with suspicion by new workers but holds the trust of the more powerful goblins. Was an undercover Order member until death.
Older brother, Roberto->
Inherited his mother's green eyes although they were a far brighter green. Slightly tanned and muscular though not overly so. Has a few tattoos across his torso of the Patronus forms of his family members. Chestnut brown hair and normally seen as if trying to hide a wide grin and failing. In more serious situations, with a frown etched across his face. 5"11 feet tall.
Her brother graduated from Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw several years ago and works at Weasley Wizards Wheezes and as an undercover Order member/recruitter.
Alexandra was born in Boston, America in 2084 during the course of her family’s travels around the world which had begun when her parents had first married 5 years before (her brother was born about a year after their marriage). The family halted their travelling for a few months after her birth but soon began to move around once more; their aim was to show as much of the world as possible to their children and try to teach them the culture and local magic of the areas. The income source was a mixture of travel writing to Travel Magazines in the magical world and some small trading and magic done for reasonable prices. However, both the parents came from rather rich backgrounds and had immense savings as well. Rundown of pre-hogwarts life: - Spoiler:
2-4 years old: Australia – the outback. Visited an Aboriginal tribe, but it was a rather awkward visit due to the fact the Leoines were a young family in the wilderness yet still managed to survive rather comfortably which was odd to the muggle part of the tribe. The magically centered members were hesitant to share their secrets but were open to teaching them about their culture and such.
5 years old: Spent about a year to visit a Vampire community and learn more about the way which they lived. Alexandra met Cazz there during one of their expeditions to meet their “new neighbors” and struck a fast friendship. Sadly, they lost contact with Cazz’s family as they soon left and travelled to the opposite side of the world.
6-7 years old: Tibet – roaming the mountains. It was mostly a visit for historical and academic purposes. There were magical creatures in the mountains that were isolated from the world and it was a chance for them all to see things first hand. Fortunately for them, they also moved in to a local magical village and learnt quite a bit of magic, culture and basic Chinese since it was the common/mother tongue of the people.
8-10 years old: Tour of South America – Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Argentina. During most of these two years, the Leoines stayed with Gregory & Selena’s upper-class friends and learnt the etiquette and skills of subtly in the numerous adult discussions which required subtly in the presence of international politicians and/or influential people.
11-15 years old: Mediterranean – Egypt, Greece & Italy mostly. It was during these years that Alexandra learnt the most in all areas. Magic was an in depth study which often collided with the spells that dated back thousands of years and would have been forgotten if ancient ruins had never been uncovered. In Greece, she learnt to read and write the ancient language, in Italy, the dead tongue of Latin and in Egypt, to read Hieroglyphics as well as she could. Culture and history were topics that were covered at length in both their muggle and magical aspects. She hopes to return there one day on another visit. Her brother sadly did not go on this trip since it was a tradition in their family to be home-schooled until they should take their NEWTs, at which point they were enrolled at Hogwarts.
Her Hogwarts Years: - Spoiler:
16-17 years old: London. The Leoines had finished their tour of the world having covered most of the places they wished to go – any other places were either too dangerous or planned as an expedition for the family in the future. They enrolled Alexandra in Hogwarts and settled down with jobs shortly afterwards. However, her parents were killed by Death Eaters several months later during an ambush so Roberto took over as her legal guardian until she was old enough to claim her legal rights to the estate. Her brother preferred not having to deal with property rights and wanted to have the freedom to travel widely so the whole family - when their parents were alive - decided to leave it all in Alexandra's name, knowing she would share very well with her brother who had his own job as well. Furthermore, the first serious boy-friend Alexandra ever had - a Slytherin boy named Earl who had lost his memory and reformed quite a bit when they got to know each other more - was killed during a Death Eater attack at Hogwarts. To deal with that, she launched herself furthermore into her studies to block out the pain and as a result, isolated many of her friends. Then during her last year at Hogwarts after some months of suspicion, she found out that her best friend had joined the Death Eaters and was in fact nearly going to kill Alexandra at her discovery. Retaliating quickly, Alexandra joined the Order as well and focused her energy on making up for as much of the damage to their cause with Cazz's joining the Death Eaters as she could. Her skills excelled as she pushed herself to help the Order more, as a result, bringing up her wand-work very much though her potions and several other subjects remained at the same level as before.

Post-Hogwarts: With different things going on within the Order and her jobs, Alexandra has lost contact with her friends outside of her job. In fact, after Hogwarts, she could boast of very few friends that she could genuinely trust. Writing for the Daily Prophet as a small-time journalist and occasionally doing radio broadcasts, Alexandra still devotes most of her time an energy to the Order. During her graduation trip through the Mediterranean, she found that her knowledge of creatures came in handy especially in light of who she brought with her back to England when she had finished the trip. See the summer after Alexandra's graduation for more details. Working in the Order brought it's own interesting twists and after a bit of a roller-coaster ride when returning from the only vacation she would have for years to come, Alexandra was slowly working her way up the ranks. Being a recent post-graduate didn't help, but she dealt with it as best she could and in time, she hoped to be rewarded. Unfortunately, not long after her summer was up, the work in the Order became increasingly chaotic as a traitor leaked information. Even after he was discovered and punished (no need for specifics), it was an up-hill climb to recover. Then at the ministry's ambush of the Order, her subsiquently being on the run for the better part of six months before managing to return to England and the increasing disheartenment amongst the members, the trudge back to recovery is slowing down. In the most recent months, she has been neglecting her personal life almost completely and is instead focusing on rebuilding the Order. Alexandra herself feels that she has a debt and responsibility to the Order as a product of guilt at being the only one to escape torture at the ministry's hands, and being utterly convinced that the Order was the only thing safe-guarding people who didn't side with the ministry or the Death Eaters. She knows that without the support of more people behind the Order, it will collapse. She knows that she will one day be driven mad if she can't find a way to actually live. With work having become her life, only time will tell if she will fall further into her work-aholic ways or find a balance. Other Characters: None.
