PERSONALITY: Growing up Lacetta was always shy and nervous. Lacetta loves to help people anyway she can and is friendly, but as a result of her past often apologizes and finds herself at fault. She is always very enthusiastic when meeting anyone and loves to get to know people, but she is still shy when it comes to large groups of people she hardly knows. She is extremely optimistic and a very loyal friend. Her loyalty and faith in those around her, even to those cruel-hearted, can seem quite odd.

LIKES: Lacetta finds medicine and potions intriguing. She loves to study from books and often spends her time in the library, doing very well at memorizing texts. Lacetta loves to sit around, where ever it may be, and read. She had always loved the feeling of being upside-down. An odd thing, but she hadn’t minded. She loved to see the world from this point of view. Whenever she visits her grandmother she would always love to watch and play with the little kids growing up in the neighborhood.

DISLIKES: Lacetta can't swim, even though at Hogwarts it doesn't seem to be an issue. She doesn’t like big crowds or public speaking, due to her shy demeanor and panic that rushes through her mind. Most people dislike those who are mean, but Lacetta can’t stand the thought of hating others, so rather she just minds herself rather than acknowledge any mean intents.

FEARS: Hemophobia (fear of blood)

As winter began to blow by and the warmer weather started to hit, a baby girl was born. Lacetta Marie Detenae was born to Alaina Detenae (nee Rosque) and Kurt Detenae. Being born to two muggles, the family didn’t recognize Lacetta as a witch. A queer child, yes, but never did the thought cross their mind of something else. As Lacetta grew older, reaching the age of six, her happy family was beginning to vanish. Her parents were growing poorer. Alaina didn’t have a proper education, so her ability to sustain a job was difficult, while Kurt’s small business was going under. Not understanding any of the difficulties at the time, Lacetta didn’t understand her parents’ frustrations. She watched as they screamed and fought with each other, sometimes she was yelled at, too. Their money was deteriorating, especially with a young child to pay for. Because of this, Lacetta was often told that it was her fault. And soon, she started to believe it.

She slowly grew immune to the screams, and accustomed to saying her own sorry for something she didn’t understand. She was lucky, for in her parents’ sober days; they decided to give her away to a distant relative, in hopes of fixing their own problems. Lacetta was now growing up in a new family, a place where she felt safe and welcomed. The mother and father, who she called mama and pa, treated her like the most precious gift, impacting Lacetta in a wonderful way. She was always smiling, just as her mama and pa were. She looked up to them, even though she didn’t realize it at the time. Lacetta was growing to be an optimistic girl, just like her new family.

She often played outside, even though there were no neighboring kids. But Lacetta enjoyed the time in the air and in the outdoors. She found it to be peaceful and natural, something that she felt was a place of understanding. Even though she was young, she seemed to have a love for silence in nature. This is where she began to grow into the medical field. She was a caring child, as her mama taught her to love all, good and bad. She’d bring in birds, snakes, anything that was injured, good or bad. Fix them up with the assistance of her mama, and she continued this until she was 10 years old.

The mother was a half-blood witch, and she began to take notice to a few of Lacetta’s quirks. How doors would open without her touch, how candy on the highest shelf would magically appear at hand. When Lacetta received a letter to Hogwarts, she wasn’t in the least bit surprised. She was thrilled, and she was thrilled to show Lacetta and her muggle husband to the world that she missed. Diagon Alley was their first stop.


Lacetta spent her years at Hogwarts, being sorted into Hufflepuff. A suiting place for a queer, yet sweet young girl. Tending to her years in hard studies, she found her attraction to Herbology right away. During her classes she was quick to answer all questions and more than happy to study far beyond her years. She was interested in Care of Magical Creatures too, but her passion for Herbology and Potions grew the most. She’d spend days on end in the Hufflepuff common room and in the Greenhouses, studying and taking notes on all the plants. She found how they helped others, and felt all the more determined to help others herself. Motherly nature began to kick in, Lacetta finding herself worried for others who were injured. But there was one injury that impacted her the most.

Withint her first two years at Hogwarts, she had been a very quiet girl. She was rarely noticed, although she prefered it that way. Most didn't know her name, nor recognise her high-pitched voice, but that was okay. Lacetta was happy to pass by unnoticed, keeping her worries to herself. She filled her time in the library, but not studying. She found it to be one of the most extravagant views of the grounds below, often finding herself simply staring out the window.

During her third, fourth, and fifth year Lacetta became a bit more open. Instead of being attracted to the Library windows, she became adapted to studying as well. Often enough, she'd explore the grounds without a reason, just wandering wherever her feet took her. She had a love for watching the outdoors, upside down. Hanging from trees, railings, and whatever she could latch her legs on. She found it to be both comforting and revealing. To her, the world was different when seen upside down. It was a new place where you can see what you hadn't before. This, however, is how she adopted her label of being weird. In her fifth year, she had been taking by the death eaters alongside Earl. In the process, she had returned safely, although her memory was no longer intact. She hadn’t a clue as to who anyone was, but a close friend of hers had revived fragments of her memory. Lacetta now sees her mind as a puzzle, with millions of pieces, it’s only a matter of placing them into their rightful spots.

When it came to testing, Lacetta did better than expected. Or at least she did better then she'd expected. She had received Outstandings in both Herbology and oddly enough Charms. She received Exceeds Expectations in both Potions and Care of Magical Creatures. Acceptable in most other subjects, she was quite pleased with herself. Transfiguration, however, was obviously not her strong suit. Her school, she'd rather not mention, sticking with the facts that she hadn't passed.
